Mile High first grow - GSC - What do you think?

Just saying Hello. This is my first grow indoors. 3x3 Mars tent, with Mars FC3000 Samsung light. Got a GSC plant going, and a GDP plant that is a week behind the GSC plant. October 4th will be 6 weeks of flower time. These are the best pics I could take with my phone. How close to harvest do you think it is? I’m thinking two to three more weeks. Thanks for any input you might have. I think I need to get a digital microscope so I can really see when the Trich’s start to turn amber.

Thanks again,

Alex

Do a search for "is it ready" and you'll find lots of information on how to tell when they're getting close. You still have a good ways to go but try posting some whole plant pics so we can see how it looks. You want to see the pistils all turn brown and recede back into the plant as the calyxes swell up in the final weeks. The branches will start to bend from the extra weight it's packing on internally and extra support is often needed in the last weeks. Trichomes can help you out and are cool to look at but it's the hairs and buds that will tell you when it's ready. There's a ton of threads on it, do some reading and post some updated pics in a week or so and we can see how it's coming along. Congrats on your first grow, just let it finish and be patient. It's going to be hard to wait, but ripe buds are worth it in my opinion.

Thank you so much for replying. I will do the search for ready threads. I have already had to add support to keep the branches up, just as you said. I will take a few pictures of the whole plants and post them, yes.

Thanks,

Alex

Looks like you went hard on the nitrogen, add some pk

I used ILGM Robert Bergmans Fert. packages and schedule. Here they are. On the left is GDP (last pic) and GSC on the right. GSC has the orange string on it holding things up. I am going to add some supports in the morning.

For this stage of flower it does appear to be a little Nitrogen heavy. You can tell by the extremely dark green leaves. There's not much clawing I can see or big signs of nute burn so I'm guessing it might just be the ratio of N in the fertilizer. What soil did you use? Is there anything in the soil like slow release Nitrogen? It looks fine but it's a good idea to taper the Nitrogen down as you go into peak flower. You want to focus on buds and not the green leafy growth as much. I might look at the ratios of the fertilizer again just to see how much N there is in it. If you're not sure just post it up here and we can take a look at it. I'm just not familiar with that line.

Ok Thank you all! Everyone agrees Nitrogen heavy. Ok my bad I just followed the kits scheduled feedings. No worries. Any suggestion now what Nutes I should use now moving forward? I got some support sticks in place to hold up the heavy branches.

I would stay away from that booster or if you use it do so at very light dosages. Because of how low the P is in your Flower time mix they might need that to make up for it but I think in the future you'd have better luck with a simple 2 or 3 part balanced nute like General Hydroponics or Jack's. The PK boosters I've tried can really burn your plants but I was already using a nute higher in P as my base nute also.
