What's really sickening is that we just allowed several self serving individuals that have no motivation other than promoting their "Brand" make a mockery of our system of government. 6 people shouldn't be able to cause this much chaos when there are 435 people.

Well I was wrong about it happening on Friday but I was only a hour off and just into early Saturday because these clowns couldn't do basic math. Anyway. I was right.

Kevin will wake up Monday morning as Speaker of the house.

I was the only one posting in this thread that was stating that mccarthy would be speaker. No need for me to get into all the naiveté in so many of the posts. It was like a coloring book.

Some were talking about Republicans voting for Jeffries. Pure fantasy. As far as politics go many are not even in my league.

Talking amongst yourself hearing things you want to hear and attacking those that differ from the group speak. I belive in thinking outside the echo chamber.

Feel free to carry on reinforcing each other. Some of us are strong enough to stand on our own.

Being wrong is bad. Failure to realize that you're wrong is worse.

In the end, Kevin is getting in using this method. He had to get at least 213, then have the ultra MAGA six vote present.

They messed up the math. He was supposed to win in the first vote.

I just realized that my posts are starting to resemble commands in coding.

I've been spending a bunch of time with it lately and I seem to be structuring my posts similar to writing code.

I feel like a machine now. Kind of dirty. :mrgreen:

Rep. Kevin McCarthy has been elected House speaker after multiple days of negotiations and 15 rounds of voting.
The final tally was 216 votes for McCarthy, 212 for Democratic House leader Hakeem Jeffries with six representatives voting "present."

Now that he is in, Kevin and Nancy can measure dicks accomplishments for the next two years. I'm pretty sure that is a contest he is not going to win.


The next must pass thing is the debt ceiling. That one does scare me.
