I know it's a completely different culture but my mom lived in Kyoto, Japan after WW2 when my grandfather was stationed there and had some really cool Kimonos. I love the bright colors and designs of them.

Those have got to be pricey, especially in the states. My mom brought my wife back a vest from her trip to China in bright red with a really cool dragon design. She loves the jade buttons.
