I always miss it.

I'm starting to think maybe we're the same person?!

How can you tell when someone has kids.

They're a-parent.

Life stages create interesting commonalities in people. Academic me is a whisper of who he was and I don't think I'd like him much, corporate me had a 12ish year run but stoner and new parent me took him out back and shot him in the head 13 years ago. Parent of an adolescent me is grabbing onto the reins to hold on for dear life to survive the next 6 years, I knew the first time she opened her eyes and looked at me she wasn't going to make this part easy.

I'll say this, my mom would have been a lot more chill as a parent had she had psychological and legal access to weed, but she was part of the illegalization problem in the prohibition days. (Now she peddles infused balms I get for her, to senior conservatives in church in a less than free state.)

I'm actively planning the post-parenting party stage of life, I figure I've got about 15-20 years to squeeze that in before I'm peddling newly legalized medical molly to seniors at the retirement commune for aging Burning Man goers.

Man, I didn't know whether to like, love, laugh or cry at that. I felt that in my soul.

It gave me an idea for a new thread.

I'm going to have to put some thought into articulating it though. Primarily so I don't sound like a whiny pussy.
