I've got a plastic 10gal trashcan from Menards that was cheap as fuck. I fill it with water and mix a shit ton of nutes. Pump in it so I can just fill my 2gal watering can and hit the plants real quick. Usually lasts a couple days but I'm growing almost a dozen photos in flower right now.

I was at one point. Then I switched to growing organically in SIPs. I don't grow huge plants, maybe ~6 oz per SIP at most (1 or 2 plants), with a 2.75 gallon reservoir for each SIP. All the nutes are in the soil. I can usually get through one crop with just a single top-dress in mid flower, then subsequent rounds in the same container need to be top-dressed every 2-3 weeks. The reservoirs get plain water, and I only have to refill them every 4-5 days at most during a grow.

I still check in on them almost every day, but I only have to interact with them once or twice a week, usually to add plain water to the reservoirs. I really don't understand why more home growers don't do it this way...

Edit to add: here's the one I use: https://www.agardenpatch.com/

I stealth grow and there simply isn't space for automation in my setup. Crazy to think I've been watering plants almost daily for years.
Aren't blumats just full-on gravity-fed mini reservoirs in each pot? I mean, it's "doable" there's always options for ANY setup
