I guess this year could be a good year to learn how to pan for gold in California. :hump:

Weird because I've been on a prospecting kick and watched a few documentaries about different gold rushes / mining towns last night. I've always felt like I would eventually end up a crazy old prospector recluse. I should jump on this rush to get my feet wet.

Sluice box then pan. They make aluminum ones that are very portable. That, a bucket, shovel, and a pan is all you need.
Have to make sure you aren't on someone else's claim, that can end badly.

I found a spot outside of Jackson CA.Unfortunately it's hand and pan only. Got a really nice tan and the puppies had fun but no gold.;)

Damn, my house mate has one of those Wyze bathroom scales that measure your body fat.....ugh. I weighed in at 177, but with 26% body fat....It should be 15% for a man.

Soooo, instead of needing to lose another 10, it's more like another 20 pounds! Which is what I always weighed when I was younger....150-155 pounds.

Sugar is my enemy

That scale would die a slow and painful death if my wife brought one home. First time it laughed when I got on, it would become a skeet target in the backyard :bigjoint: . Good for you for getting in shape, if you could just do it for both of us that'd be really appreciated.

Look at this paw. That’s my left hand and i’m pretty sure the fingers were slammed no less than 3 times.

Same cursed hand after spray gluing and stapling a bunch of vinyl drywall bead/trim right now.

My left hand is pretty beat up but my right hand is jacked too from pushing self tapping screws with a screwgun for years. Cortizone shots. Ripped open many times etc.

I’ll model my right hand on here only if you guys want me too :-D
