If it stays just offshore in the gulf stream and works, it's way up the coast, it could cause widespread damage, a hurricane that hugged the east of Florida could wreck the place from end to end, Georgia and the Carolinas too.
it could, no doubt........if it does, and it's a big "if" it will be the carolinas both north and south, wiether it goes on land or not that's hard to say at this point, as soon as it get closer we'll know more of it's track

It’s about time east coast Florida gets hit. Too many are slithering into the gulf and it best not aim at Mississippi, ffs, I just got cyberattacked and am still without internet at work. If this one hits me here, no doubt I am packing my shit and leaving this place. I will miss the shrimp though, lol.

my idea of camping is Best Western.
For the young and adventurous and there would be tens of millions of them, cheap has a certain attraction for the young because many don't have much money. The idea of touring North America over a summer and not paying for transportation costs might be appealing to many and a small camper trailer could be made low profile and be self-powered too, so no decrease in the vehicle range towing it, it would have even more charging area than the car would and its own battery. We will see, but efficient, cheap flexible solar panels can only make it happen faster, even if they are self-adhesive and needed to be changed every few years. Batteries are getting better cheaper and lighter too and I figure there could be a large global demand for such a class of cheap vehicle, even in North America.

Imagine the impact of such vehicles on countries with few energy resources like Germany and Japan, if cars could say generate just half of their energy needs. The government should subsidize such vehicles and don't subsidize the SUV and half ton kilowatt guzzlers because of loads on the power grid. I think some countries will offer better rebates on cars that on average can generate a certain percentage of their own power and come up with a formula for it, 100% of average commuting self-generated gets the most rebate down to 50% of the power used is self-generated for the average commute.

Can you just imaging how upset and shocked these people were? It’s such a disaster. I only been like a month into this job . I will hang for the shrimp, bozos is Pascagoula is the fucking bomb. But am looking to leave eventually. Taking it one week at a time. I am running out of states to like to live.

That’s what they asked for when they were hacked in 2018. These people are so stupid they got hacked again. It seems to happen to a lot of the medical organizations in this area! It’s like they target the dumb southern hillbillies. So sad.
They probably spoofed an email from Trump, sure to suck in some dumb fucker.

My post is a heads up for people living in the path to be prepared to move next week, though the local TV will be telling folks that well in advance.
Hold on to your hat! The models (for the most part) show it heading up to your neck of the woods right after it sideswipes my kids place in Bermuda :(. Only two more months and things should settle down :(. I hate hurricane season :(.

We just got a near miss and when they hit early in the season with longer falls, the leaves are still on the trees, and they tend to come down with the extra wind loading. In winter when the trees are bare, they can stand a very strong wind, especially with the ground frozen. When the big trees go down the lights go out! :(

This is an interesting poll that shows that even the weather is now political.
And take a guess who is out of they're fucking minds?
Apparently almost half of the country.

USA TODAY, Ipsos poll: 20% of Americans fear climate change could force them to move (yahoo.com)
  • Democrats are much more likely to say they’ve experienced extreme weather events recently compared with Republicans, 57% to 44%.
  • Of the 49% of people who said they’d faced extreme weather in the past month, 76% were either very or somewhat concerned about climate change.
  • Among people who didn't experience a recent extreme weather event, only 24% said they were very concerned.
  • A full 68% said extreme weather events will become more frequent in the near future. And 39% said climate change was negatively affecting their everyday life.
  • Close to two-thirds were pessimistic about the chance of slowing or reversing the effects of global warming – in part because they think Americans aren't willing to change their behavior.

Looks like TS Lee as turned itself into the celestial shrimp now, and gathering strength....Lee is proposed to be a Hurricane by the end of the day and keep going.....

as Lows and Highs move, that will determine where it goes, for now, they think it will go in between the US mainland and Burmuda....only time will tell over the days what lee will do.....it's development is rather remarkable....

It’s been thus for forty years in my experience.
A bit longer. Reagan coming to power was the running start to the fascist bobsled that is today’s Republican agenda.
It merely took a decade or two for the sled to come to speed, and now look at that thing go!

If it doesn't hook north, the south will be in trouble, if it does, I could be! o_O The waters ahead of it are warm and as it crosses the gulf stream it will grow. If it hooks north at the right angle, Bermuda could get hit with a cat 4 or 5 hurricane on its way to here in the Maritimes where it will die after shitting on us.
