I just finished up his Skunk #1 as an indoor grow and it threw nanners all over in late flower. There was no stress as everything was kept the same. Temp, RH, ph, nute levels. I just started the Purest Indica because of First Cav's report on how good it was. I also have the Original Haze and NL2 but starting them has gone down the list to start due to the Skunk #1 issues. I'm not blaming his genetics as I know these things can happen.
I ran an open pollination table of his Skunk #1 and sent them around too. I know several have grown them @shnkrmn I can't remember, did you grow them? I never had any issues either. I'd give their gear another try.

I germed one for a party cup grow this spring. I'll get around to giving that a fair shake next year. My grow calendar is looking kind of busy right now!

Definently the best bang for the buck I've had thus far, outside of the CSI Humboldt order I just got.

Time will tell which one is actually the most bang for the buck
I'm going to start with NL#2 and use a male from that to dust up a Cuban Black haze clone. The Original Haze has my interest as well. Looking for those long lost hazes

My understanding is that because AG claims that these are close to original source genetics, they are more “unrefined” and need to be pheno-hunted. Less-worked genes are also less consistent genes. There should still be some good stuff in the older genes that a good breeder can bring out. Gooeybreeder talks about this in one of his “Potcast“ interviews, in relation to his breeding methods. I think it’s worth buying a big pack when they go on sale and doing a small selected pollination run to hunt through. If I could do outdoor, I’d love to try a haze project.

Wish I'd know about you passing some of these around but no, I wasn't in on it. I got mine straight from AG.
I have all of that Skunk 1 hanging right now to dry out. I hate throwing anything out. I'm thinking of dry sifting it to see what I get.

If you find her meh you can make great edibles with her. After I process the seeds I usually smoke a bowl or two and make edibles with the left over cleaned material. Her gummies were great. She was a nice, solid smoke but nothing to get excited over. Was my experience. Please tag me if/when you do a smoke report. I'd enjoy hearing your experience.

I’ve heard from multiple people that their skunk from him hermied on them, even from other breeders, so I doubt it’s user error.

I'm gearing up for the next round and NL#2 for sure is going in rotation. Really excited to see it. A buddy of mine is running the NL#5s right now and its nostalgic AF.

I got the nostalgic itch and AG is having a sale - buy 2 packs get 1 free, so I just bit.

NL5
“Violaceous” NL5
Original Haze (purple pheno) x NL2
OG Haze x NL2
Trainwreck x NL5
Skunk #1

I know some people here said the skunk hermed on them, but 6 seed packs for $200 I felt it was worth the risk, and to have it in the collection is pretty cool. I’ve had some plants in a pack herm and then the rest were fine, so it might be ok.

They didn't herm on me. I didn't find any of what I smoked stood out though. It was all solidly good weed, but nothing special. But you know it can take several tables to find the good stuff. Anyway I think they are worth a run. I did think his NL#2 and NL#5 were better but I didn't find anything stand out there either. But that's not atypical. It was all good weed.

Living in “flyover country” I missed all of these when they came around the first time. I’ve also never been to a dispensary, so I’d like to try them for the sake of nostalgia, and to also have a benchmark to try and compare modern stuff to. I know that being IBLs, a lot of uniqueness has been bred out of them over time, but this is probably still the closest I’ll ever get and it’s cheap enough. Maybe I get lucky, maybe not, but if I find 1 or 2 special plants out of everything I bought, I’ll be happy.

My reasons were different, for missing out, but the results the same. That's why I thought they were worth a run. I still think they are too. So good luck. I hope you find something stellar.
