I've read that potassium is key for the "skunk" terpene production and it isn't as shelf stable as other terpenes. Supplementing for potassium may help boost the skunk profile a bit. I am going to run AG skunk next year and am goin to see if a product like Terpinator (potassium sulfate) can assist in that effort. Would have to do an A/B comparison to really find out but should be fun.
If the stories are to be beliefed, Todd's skunk has had the skunk bred out of it by the man who got him his seeds. I wish you the best of luck in your efforts!

I just got 2 packs of Strayfox Burnout Stinkerz for some of the skunk goodness, nowhere near popping them, but here's to hoping!

First of all 321 is a thiol not a terpene. And pushing the S is going to get you more 321 than pushing the K. But too much S will taste like matches.
So have fun experimenting with Todds version.
If you need more of his beans I have a few packs I don't wanna crack nor give away to my friends

Good to know. The supplement I am using is a potassium sulfate mix so I think I will have both the bases covered.

So expect a lot of pheno hunting and hash-making while hoping to get lucky? Out of the people in this thread who said they have gotten fire plants from AG - how’s your tolerance? I have several packs, but this thread has put them on the bottom of my project list.

I got his nl#5, og haze, skunk#1. I figured if he got his genetics from Mel Frank, they should be good genetics. I'm actually a lil sad now. Lol
I asked Mel about Todds gear when he first started up. Mel didn't want to give his opinion. And actually wasn't very happy that i was hitting him up about it. Almost like he didn't want his name attached to McCormick.
Or he doesn't want to harsh Todds hustle.
I love haze but its not there. Just a weak Colombian mix that smells nothing like the good Lombo haze my parents had when I was a kid.

But remember Todd wrote hype ads for a magazine before he turned "breeder".

Yea. I know he likes to hype, I just figured since it was Mel's genetics, something good had to be in there.

Now it's got me wondering.

i never think soliciting a bulk deal looks good. looks like he’s discounted the crap out of his beans and can’t move enough so now he’s willing to let them go at $25/pack
Agreed, however... they only have so long on the shelf before they lose vigor, and that looks much worse than bulk deals.

I think the clientele is there, but he has to branch out a bit. I own almost every pack he has available, I have zero reason to buy more for my collection.

Maybe he just doesnt have the touch for breeding and working crosses, idk. I worry hes put himself on an island with skunkman sam, and the other people who work with old school lines arent willing to collaborate or endorse breeding with their gear. I would love to see crosses with gear from ACE, snowhigh, akbb, bob hemphill, and so on. He clearly loves his hazes, and theyre having a bit of a renaissance. The fact he hasnt released a nl5 x haze cross of his own is worry some. Thats like the PB and J of hybrids.

The only AG seeds that I have tried that lacked vigor and were hard to start was the Original Haze. The seeds are small and delicate. Its a slow to grow strain as it is. I have them in a tent right now (pic). I split the bundle deal with a buddy and all of his NL#5 seeds popped and had vigor. All of the NL#2 seeds I popped were vigorous too.

I am happy for the both of you and I hope you let us know how they turn out, especially your O haze

I dont think they have lost viability, but I am certain they will, as all seeds do. I hope they sell out and he launches a dozen new crosses as well as the classics, but only time will tell.

I have the og haze purple pheno going right now. Week 4 since flip was Sunday. I've popped 5 og haze and 5 nl#5's. All sprouted, except 1 nl #5's. A couple makes from both, but no biggie. I still had 2 females of one, and 3 of the other. Any issues I've had, have been operator error. Lol

Og Haze. Not seeing any purple yet though. Lol
