Strain Suggestion

I have Fibromyalagia so constant pain. I may be looking for a unicorn here, but im gonna give it a shot. What I would like is a strain that will relieve pain but will not give me couch lock, make me brain dead giggling at averything and staring at the wall for hours. I want a strain that will effect my mental function as little as possible, or even better not at all, while still lowering my pain level at least somewhat. I walk around at a 7 on the pain scale most days.I have done a ton of research, read countless strain discriptions, on multiple websites, but nothing beats information from actual growers and users Any suggestions?

Sounds like a cbd, or thc/cbd hybrid is what u are looking for. If you want it to mot mess with your faculties, go full cbd. There are a few strains that will relieve your pain, but none that I know of that don't relieve you of your train of
thought as well.

Maybe just embrace the buzz, accept it, let it numb your body and mind. Or maybe try low dose edibles

I am cool with a Buzz, that isnt a problem, just not so much cool with brain dead lol.

a story to highlight the point, I used to smoke all the time when was a teen some 30 odd years ago, and back then you went to the weed man, you said low, mid, or high and the weight you wanted, that was it, there were zero strain choices, you got what he had. Well, I hit a 250 dollar winning scratch ticket, so I went to the weed dude, and I got 1/8 High grade, I smoked half a joint, and when it hit, I stared at the wall for what I thought was 30 seconds until I looked at the clock and realized that 3 hours had passed, THAT is what I want to Avoid, becuase my brain fully shut off. Mind you, at this time, I was a daily smoker, and had a tolerance.

If you have a tolerance and like to catch a buzz just don't want to get baked out your mind just watch your potency.
I often enjoy smoking less potent buds just because I enjoy the act of consumption and it gives better control to the level of intoxication.
Most of the cbd/thc hybrid seeds I remembered looking out maxed out around 17%thc with most in the 11-13% range.
Also get a dugout/one hitter I doubt your gonna grow weed that will get you "too high" when taking 0.01g per puff

Just keep searching forums for “nerve pain strains” and making lists of recommendations. You should start to see some common strains come up. I’ve seen Nepali O.G. and Gorilla Glue #4 recommended for nerve pain here. Through listening to PotCasts, Breeder “The Rev” claims that his Blue Rhino 1947 is the best strain he’s smoked for his own nerve pain. GooeyBreeder specifically recommends his Mom Gooey for nerve pain. It’s also mostly sativa, so shouldn’t leave you “stupid” either. He sells seeds if you contact him through his Instagram.

Too bad it takes forever to flower but I’m having good luck with my Ace Seeds Golden Tiger and a recent Golden Tiger x Panama strains. I popped a tendon on my right wrist with the ligament popping out with it too while working about 8 years ago. I went 3 years without a true diagnosis and was in constant pain here and there. Fringe one moment using my wrist and then it would feel like I breaking it, pinching my loose nerves. When I got home I just wanted to be numb to everything. These sadly have been grown in the past 2-3 years after my surgery. I find 2-3 bowls and I’m good to go, I’m alert, focused and chatty. Golden Tiger is my jam for my rounds of golf, as my body is all loosy-goosy and was back cribbing the balls of the tee. I have also enjoyed using Cinderella 99 with Canuk Seeds being the breeder in my needs. (Didn’t like Female Seeds version) Maybe a slight heady nut I took some before a Xmas party last year and I was chatty and in the conversations. My mom had knee surgery and had some success with some Bruce Banger/Banner #3 that I grew from Seedsman.

CBD or a Purple strain. Urkle, Mendo Purps, Lavender, Purple Indica, Purple Punch ect... are more calming strains from my experience from the terpenes (Linalool). I dont use weed for pains but folks say those purple strains are good for pain management & such.

I would suggest something like Sour Samurai F3 by Bless Coast seeds (or any of the crosses). The breeder, Titan, has a writeup about his life story after being hit by a bus and now living as a paraplegic who is not numb as many are from the waste down. He feels everything. Suffice to say he is also a genius when it comes to breeding, breeding both to find remedy for his pain he lives with and to literally make some of the best strains out right now. He really is that good a breeder. Subcool talks about Titans story in this link: Subcool's Library | Rollitup . I Highly suggest you get something from Bless Coast seeds, not only will you have a problem free grow as the genetics are fire, but you will also find something for your pain. I grew his stuff (his citrus sour and Split her cakes) against other breeders work and his potency was the best, his flavors were intense, his growth was healthy. Again, Highly suggest you grow something by Bless Coast Seeds if you are looking for pain relief.

As much as I would LOVE to try those seeds, there is no way I can squeeze that into the budget I am Working with. I will have roughly 450.00 total to get EVERYTHING I need that I dont already have on hand( I have one inline fan, and a 5g Bucket) From my old grow tent, that is it, the other planters i have are far too small for Cannabis. Honestly at least for now, all of my seeds are likely gonna be from the 2 dollar seed menu at https://northatlanticseed.com/ and these strain suggestions are for further down the road when I can afford top flight seeds OR if I hit up a dispensary and Buy some.

It's really not going to do you much good for people to name names of strains....because the likelihood of anyone naming a strain that's universally available in all areas, is slim. Someone suggested purple strains. I tend to agree with this generalization, but there are many factors to be considered -not the least of which is HOW the plants were grown and how ripe they are. Underripe buds can look sparkly and great, but they aren't going to get you as relaxed as a really ripe bud will, whatever the strain names happen to be in your area. Yeah, Blue Dream can give a relaxing effect IF it's riipe. If it's not ripe, then you won't get as high and you might internet that as being more "up" and less "couch lock"...same strain, though. See what I mean?

EDIT: I just realized that you were asking about a strain to GROW YOURSELF!....I think....right? Okay, I thought you were talking about a strain to BUY and smoke! heh hehe....I'm old....pay no attention...hehe hehe

Yes I am asking about a Strain to Grow Myself. But also Might pick up some at a dispensery in Mich to hold me over until my first grow, dry and cure are done. I also have learned that there are a LOT of knock off white lable strains and that I really cant afford high end genetics at this point.

For example, I watched a Video From the creator of Bruce Banner going through seed sites that claim to be selling Bruce Banner that never got clones or seeds From the creator. So basically they took seeds from the strains he used, crossed them, slapped the Bruce Banner name on them and sold them.

My thoughts on this while yes that is shitty as hell to do, its likely that they will be similar to his product, but not exact. Genetics leaves so much room for variance that there is no way they will be exact, but example a cross of Durban Poison x Green Crack will have similar traits no matter who does the cross providing they are starting with the actual strains and not something mislabled or wrongly labled on purpose.

While those $2 auto seeds seem cheap & convenient I think there are better options within your budget. I would get fem photo seeds so you can learn how to clone thus reducing your cost of having to buy more seeds every new grow.

I have some Fem Seeds in my cart as well, not buying just autos glad to see my thinking was right there. I already know how to clone plants, done it many times with tomatoes and peppers, so if it works the same with Cannabis im set there. Tho at this point I really dont have room to set up a full cloning tent, I will have ONE grow tent. The Autos will let me grow while slowing getting around the stuff for a second tent so that I can take clones and stagger my grows. But I cant do that all at once upfront, Im working on about a 400 to 450 dollar budget to get EVERYTHING, I only have a couple Items from my old grow tent that I can repurpose like the Fan( the tent fell apart and has been thrown away) the Light Unit from the old tent Kinda died, its an led and there are leds that dont light up anymore. So I need a new tent, lights, soil, seeds, and well everything else lol.

Shoot Titan an email. blesscoastseeds@gmail.com. Tell him your situation and say you were told by Tardis on rollitup to write him about if he had anything available that could fit your budget. he's a really good guy and I can see him hooking you up just because you are in need.

Thanks for the advice, but honestly that aint me bro, I respect the talent and the science behind doin what he does and I would just feel like a begger asking for a hand out. I dont refuse offers when someone extends them but I also dont go asking for them. If I cant afford the fair price they set, I simply do without.
