Blaze & Daze

Mornin'...

We're still hanging on to our old Toyota trucks. Wife's is a 2002 Tacoma....mine is a 2004 double cab Tundra. 180K each approx. mileage.
I spent 5K on my truck last year after looking at the car lot. LOL. Nah. Nope. Decided to just invest in new shocks/front end parts/tires/timing belt/water pump/tune up/wiring (yup...chipmunks) and a few other quirks. I told the guys to change the oil...and he called me a few days later and said "You do realize you've only put 1200 miles on the truck since you were in here in December 21?" (the repairs were about 18 months later) :D

We are going to town today though. Big whoop, huh? :clap: The wife goes to "Ladies Night" at the local gun shop and get free instruction/free range time once a month. Bang, bang, shoot, shoot. I need to run by the grow store for a few things as well. Pretty funny...when I moved here and first walked into the store the guy called me by name and caught me off gaurd. Seems the glove is on the other hand because he was once a customer in my hydroponics store. LOL. Talk about a small world...

Looks like another decent day. 60F.....then we warm up in a few into the 70's. Still cold at night though. That's what fucks the wagon for planting outside. It rages all day....but the nights still lag behind with the snow on the mountain and the sinking air. We did put broccoli and cabbage outside yesterday though...so there is that. Tomatoes in the GH are 2 ft tall and blooming...peppers are rockin'.... weed is trying.

We'll get there....it's just slow. I hope yer day is marvy....
 
Morning, friends. I need to check all the plants today as it was supposed to rain last night and I didn’t water anything yesterday on account of that. This last month before Mother’s Day is a lot of babysitting, moving things in and out of the porch, checking the 10 day forecast everyday…one year I put tomatoes and peppers in the ground the last week of April. Two weeks later I’m at the market and I overhear a couple farmers talking about the temps that morning, and it was then that I learned that while I was too busy working and then too tired to check the weather, there was a hard freeze that night. 27* on May 8. I came home to see entire beds of brown tomato plants. Literally cried that day as I felt so frustrated and stupid. Anyway, the tent girls are chugging along and I’m hoping to put them outside soon as well since I need the tent gone by the first week of June. We’ll see if that’s possible.

I think there was talk of this a few weeks ago...but jus' like them 'maters and peppers...ya gotta be careful going outside from "the tent" too early or they will start to flower. Something that works though...if you do set em out in May.....is to go buy a handful of solar lights and stick em in the patch. This will keep em in veg until it's time for them to naturally drop into flower after the Solstice. I went out May 15th my first year here at this new place and 3 of 6 plants went into flower/then revegged...and didn't hit full potential because of it. Live and learn! Good luck!

they're autos, started flowering earlier this week. the photos are all gonna be outside or porch with supplemental lighting.
