Anyone know of a trustworthy place to get pre sterilized grain bags for a reasonable cost? I see a lot of places online but I want something that I know is sterile ... I see some that are like 8 bucks.... some that are like 50... asking the brain trust!

I think it depends on what you are trying to grow.

I tried to go to the boom shroom site and I did a search and only found:
its from the Philipines. I don't know what shipping costs from there, but I'm sure it's better to get local.

Mushrooms
Some mushrooms grow on wood, manure or soil. It would not be far fetched to smell farts from those types of substrate. Usually mine smell like mushrooms. If it smells like farts while it is growing, I usually look for contamination and dump the grow, if/when I find it.

Tub won't fruit. The strain is star gazer, used coco coir vermiculite and gypsum for substrate. I made the tub on May 30th. It's been fully colonized like this for 4 days now but no signs of fruiting I fear contamination will happen if it doesn't hurry and fruit

I'm new and haven't grown yet, I'm just curious.
How are you inducing fruiting?
Just by misting and increasing air exchange?
Do you have the special lid for fruiting? :peace:

I'm about to get some tubs going this weekend. I had to take a break over the winter I was having trouble with trichoderma and very low humidity. I still have a ton of LC in syringes and jars in Ziploc bags in my fridge but they're 6 months old. The LC looks really good but you know it's hard to tell just looking at it, what do you guys think, is my LC still good after 6 months in the fridge?

Good to see u bro. Yea I had a bad contamination . Had to stop everything and sanitize. Had to toss 4 tubs and 7 bags. That's why I'm paranoid now, figured my tubs won't fruit because of contamination somewhere

Yep that's where I'm at I'm about to scrub everything down and may just buy some new tubs I feel like once a tub gets trich in it bad hard to get out. I didn't see any signs of it for a year or two and once I got one bad tub from there on it's snowballed.
