Mornin' kids...

So when will the hash browns be ready Chef @shnkrmn ?? Yup, scrambled. Can I get some wheat toast with that? Cherry preserves would be swell.

So did ya melt gettin' that tranny fixed @Jeffislovinlife ?? Yikesees.

Dryin' out here. Hopefully not for good. They keep saying warmer/dryer than normal all Fall but so far....shhhhhhhh...we've been seeing showers/etc. This looks like a good 10 days with only a few possible glitches....so the old man is gonna go out this AM with the ladder and bungee up the shade cloth and let the girls get full on sun. It's prime time, for sure. Everyone is about to blow the f up.

The better half got a prescription for a new sleep study...@ home. We're Medicare/old fucks...so I guess they want you to do a home study and then...if needed...they will do a study in the hospital and pay for it. Dunno about supplies...but we haven't paid for em in the past that I know of. They sure do call alot and want to send you more shit though...so I'm guessing they get paid easily by the Gov't.... I dunno/don't care...LOL. Whatever.

What a racket....
Almost lol

I can't be friends with someone who doesn't like eggplant
LOL. No worries there, huh? I love eggplant. Ever had Ping Ping? Maybe not. It looks like a dick. (waits for response...LOL...probably not)

I don't know except green beans because I have a bushel and I do not can (seems like work). I wonder if they'll freeze dry well.
Damn...I wish I had a bushel. LOL. Anywayz....we're hooked on "Dilly Beans" https://growagoodlife.com/dilly-beans/ Yum.

Yes, it's a process, for sure...but it's not hard to do. We don't do the "pressure cooking" thing where ya cook all the nutrients out and make shit mushy like our elders did...it's just "hot pack". Everything is vinegar based (pickled) so it stays good for a long time. Beans, beets, relish, pineapple, sometimes onions...etc. Must be my German heritage poking through...I've always loved the pickled fare.

We haven't ventured into "food" with the freeze dryer. I don't think I got the prepper gene. Our strawberries are about to explode though...so it may be time to figure out what the sealer/oxygen things do...LOL. Sure makes nice fuckin' hash though...

Strawberries are the bomb and you don't need the oxygen scavengers if they're well dried, I put them in glass jars. Just hull, cut in half and load them cut side up.

And Ping Tung Long Chinese eggplant are great. Grew them for years. Now into Listada di Gandia.

I usually make a batch of fermented hot sauce every year but rain and heat has really messed with my garden this year. Looking to buy a flat of red serranos to save the season.
