Help me! 30-32'C and 70%-80% Humidity for Autoflowers

Hi,

This is my first time growing. I didn't have a humidity and temperature meter till I ordered my seeds. I ordered GSC, Blueberry kush and Gelato and all of them are Autos. Also, I bought BESTVA 1000W pro light and I started indoors but no grow tent. Right now my Blueberry is in its 3rd week and GSC in 2nd week. Can anyone comment on these two? I feel like Blueberry is very slow.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

Thanks.

Looks alright, id give info on what its growing in exactly as if thats not up to par it can stay that size for a while. Could be overwatered or too compact etc. Those temps and rh seems ok a bit hot but forsure too hot in flower. You want like 80-85F tops but for sure the humidity will need to go down to like 55% to avoid issues.

Me personally I get rh to 50 or 45 average most the time but as low as possible. So cooling and humidity control may be needed real soon being autos but yea to get there the soil or whatever its growing in needs be treated correctly. If soil theres no pearlite for aeration looks like but Im no good at soil. Its not backyard soil is it? I cant tell what that is.

First of all, thank you very much for the fast reply.

1. Growing Blueberry kush(Into 3rd week) auto and GSC auto(Into 2nd week).
2. Possibly overwatered. I will not put any water again till it asks. The problem I see as because of this humidity water will not drain out.
3. Not compacted at all. They are in 5 G pots.
4. I have no control over temperature and RH based on the place I live in. I feel like adding more fans but I don't know it will help or not.
5. There is no perlite available to buy (I will try to order online through Amazon). That is why I kept it as it is. This is a soil mix I bought from a local store. It consists of
  • op Soil
  • River Sand
  • Rice Husk
  • Compost
  • ERP
  • Dolomite

. I will try to find out alternative to perlite.

I think I made a mistake by selecting indica strains for such a env conditions. But nothing to do now. :D

Air circulation is a must to avoid issues like botrytis and powdery mildew which I had last run real bad. I might keep getting it will see but yea whatever you can do will help. I do drain to waste coco but soil growers can help you with that, I only done soil few times and didnt like it, wasnt good at it.

Ok. Thanks for sharing. I will add a few more powered fans and will see how it goes.

Do you think Sativa and photoperiod plants will perform better in these conditions?

They should be a wee bit bigger for 3 weeks could be stunted as it usually flowers at 4 wks at a decent size or a certaint minimal size that these dont look like they are. Just curious about the soil some times people just put god knows what as a soil medium. Sounds like its much better than that but yea.

As to sativa or indica its hard to say as each seed can grow differently but lots of strains are meant to grow like an indica. Id say airy fluffy buds would be better. Ive grown clones with all different bud structures same plant thats 60% sativa.

The best growth was letting it grow with small flowers well spaced and too small to grow mold. Powdery mildew is a different beast because it also effects veg plants so a whole garden can be destroyed and doesnt care if its indica or sativa. To add to above I didnt have any air circulation and learned the hard way.

Let's see how these two plants going on. Pretty worried about the growth. But I have no other option than to wait. Wish I could get a good quality of 20g yield from these two. That is enough for me :D

Temp is a little high. That's a 105 watt light, you'll want more. They look healthy but small. Grow medium? Looks like coco?

Thank you for replying and much appreciated.
Yeah, it is 100 W. If you see the Vivosun 2*2 tent they also give 100W light so as this is cost effective I bought this one.

I introduced these plants to this light 4 days ago. That may be the case to be too small. Before that, they grew under the sun light.

5 gallon is pretty big for babies. They would be better if you put in a solo cup till they fill that out then go to 5 gallon. And add perlite for drainage and air circulation. If cant find perlite, you could add little stones/pebbles

Next time start in solo cups so you can control the moisture level better.
Also, starting with autos was a mistake........no room for error with autos.
They should be significantly bigger.........lack of oxygen in the root zone produces slow growing plants.
2 weeks.

Do you extract the air from the tent at all? Temps and rh sounds wild, is it crazy hot and humid outside the tent aswell? Sounds like there something up with the whole setup, just wanted to see if basics are covered.

Please don't start multiple threads on the same issue, it tends to create a confusing mess.

Hi @larrypizzimp93
Thank you for the reply.
I heard that the autos should be transplanted early and it should not stress the plant. So that is why I just directly transplanted them into these pots. Next time I will do as you suggested and I saw many of them are doing it.

Currently, no perlite to buy in local stores. Can I use little stones from the garden?

Hi @MickFoster

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I definitely will select strains which are high in mould resistance and good ones for humid conditions and photoperiod plants.

"lack of oxygen". Probably yes coz I don't have any perlite or stones added. Will try to mix some small stones from the garden.

Your plants seem to be good in size also I avoid solo cups coz I heard that transplanting for autos is kind of a stress. Mistake no 2 I would say. :D

Hi @Rocket Soul

Thank you for the reply. Sorry, I don`t have a grow tent yet. Imports to my country have sort of restrictions. I am growing indoors without a tent. That is why I have no control over the environment. Trying to get something out from nothing here.
