You talkin to me? I saw a story a few years back that said Jackson County Florida was the best place in the country to escape the worst of climate change. (I'm near there) Lots of ag and timber land, plenty of water and not many folks. And until Michael I would have said I was far enough inland to not worry about hurricanes.
We have been talking about summering in the mountains. But after all the bad things I've said about folks who sale family land, I had better not do it myself.

The polar vortex made it to the Sandhill. This was this morning. All the snow on the table melted this afternoon.
Check this out. Footprints that had been made when it was still snowing. I thought it was people tracks to start with. But they are too small and too far apart, and if you look close, it's two footprints close together.
I walked down to the graveyard just before noon. The snow had starting to melt. I didn't have plastic bags over my socks and too much sock for my crocs, so my feet got really wet and cold. I went back out tonight with better foot protection. It was in the low 20's so the snow was nice and firm. The ruts in the dirt roads and all the paved roads were snow free, so I didn't have to walk in deep snow anywhere except the big pines and graveyard.

The pictures of the snow on the beach are wild. I was stationed in Pensacola for years and it’s trippy to see I can’t wrap my head around it
