I used to have a 96 883 hugger..it was my first bike. I love the cold. I bundle up throw a scarf on, and maybe a mask if its real cold, and still hit the spots. My dad rides too, so we hit it up on the weekends mostly

I have a real guitar. I'm not a very good composer. All I ever find myself doing is playing covers. Which is good to impress people, but it gets boring sooner or later.

composing usually starts after you start improvising . . . chords or scales . . .

myself, I started with scales, but now I listen to a song and create a scale based off of the song, just playing in the same key anyways. though it's only due to my lack of knowledge of music theory that I do that.

rhythm improvising is a very good way to get the basis of a song going, and lead improvising for melodies and solo breaks etc. if you can hear music in your head you can probably compose .

but anyways, 90% of the time when I play guitar, it's all out of my head. it's pretty easy after you get through the first major struggle.

trust me it's easy...I play bass, and Im completely self taught. get the "gig bag book of scales" it has them tabbed and charted. the order of play is major, dorian, phyrgian, lydian, mixolydian, minor, locrian, and back to major. just think of do, rey, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do. each note has a "mode" its great for solos, and rockin out. you'll never be "lost" again

High quality audio gear (preferably non-commercial), is one of my passions.

I agree with getting the cord book.. nd maybe one with a bunch of songs you know... this is how I learned many moons ago... of course its easier to learn when you are younger, cause you don;t feel like such a fool singing crappy songs that fit your repertoir. You can learn music theory without the guitar... translating that to guitar is where you may need a little help, as guitar sheetmusic is written a little diffrently.
