Im not saying there is no work at all. Im saying that there is very lil maintenance. U need to add water every other day unless ur flowering maybe everyday. The AG blinks red lights when its low on water and nutes. Theres not much to do at all really. Add water and check ph. Not every1 changes the rez and if u have ur lights on a timer u need to do even less. I havent had a fan circulating on my violator kush this whole second grow. I am tryin to keep the temperature as high as possible since its like 5 degrees outside and i get a pretty nice cold breeze in that closet. i Keep the closet door cracked to circulate between the cold draft and warm air. Honestly how much time do u spend maintaing ur AG. Besides toping off water and adding nutes every other week or so u spend like maybe 2 mins a day tops. Im not talking the hours u sit there admiring ur plants im talking maitaining
Very cold here as well. I use FF nutes so I dont pay any attention to the AG lights. As a mattewr of fact I duck taped them to block the light. it's quite bright in total darkness. I use a ppm meter and a pH tester for my solution and change the tank every week now thru harvest. I have to top off the tank twice a day now. I'm constantly messing with them doing some lst, trimming and moving branches around for the best light exposure. I hope it doesn't run dry before I chop them.

Two or 3 small plants, I think, is about right unless you want to do a grow them like I am.

Thanks man, Your's is awesome! The pix in your avitar is amazing. How did you keep them so compact. By not topping them?
btw,I post new pix every Sunday.
i topped them once in veg then put them into flower i use a 400w hortilux so i think the light hellped alot and i keep the plants as close to the light as possible w/o burning them:weed:

8th week in flower
79 days from seed germed in paper towels
3 White Widows & 3 Big Bud
No problems this week. They are still not gaining any height and that is good in a small unit like the AG. I have been lst'ing them and tucking in fan leaves. Buds are growing together on the stems to form colas and I'm waiting for them to bulk up. I turned off the 6" fan and I still have the big oscillating flan blowing across the plants. I want to warn up the grow area a bit to encourage resin to build on the buds. I am cuting down the nute strength, assuming this is in late flowering. I want to bring it down from 1000-1100 ppm to 800ppm and I'll gradually take it down to 400-500ppm for final flowering until I flush it.
I trimmed off a lower bud and drying it to get a taste test of sorts.
I am hoping the grow will finish by Jan 31st but I'm not sure.

WHEN WILL THESE FINISH? ANYBODY WANNA HAZARD A GUESS?

01/18: MY GROW SETTINGS FOR 8th WEEK OF FLOWERING & 11 WEEKS OLD FROM SEED:
Lighting - 150 w hps, 4-100 w cfl, 1-150 w cfl and the AG 3 light hood all set on 12/12 timers.(Added 2 more cfl's on splitters -4 total)
AG Pro200 - set now on Tomatoes.
4" airstone running 24/7
6" fan OFF. Pointed at bottom of Ag to cool water.
10" oscillating fan blowing on leaves 24/7
Air temp range- 68-78 (Okay)
Humity range - 28-31 (Good)
Water temp - 70-73
Ph - 5.2-5.5 Keeping water acidic. I hear lots of AG grows get root root so I'm keeping it in the lowest range possible without locking out nutes.

Nutes: 800 ppm - 900 ppm Fox Farm (organic) nutes Week 11 feeding schedule - Plannning to top off w/bottled RO water and adding nute to keep ppm level about 1000.
Drained and ADDED to FF Week 11 feeding schedule and adjusted nute strength to 800-900 ppm. Will maintain that range all week if no problems arise.
I'm hoping these will finish by Jan 31st. Both WW & BB take 8/10 weeks to flower and a couple weeks longer in the AG. In any event, I'm going to wait until trichs turn cloudy with a hint of Amber before I chop them.

Help me along here guys. How am I doing and what can I do to help out my grow?

I'm mesmerized by your pictures man, you're doing an awesome job!! How often are you refilling that reservoir now? I'd agree with SICC, no more than 3 weeks at this point!

I mix new soup on Fri nights and drain & replace it every Sunday. I top it off morning & night. I'm using less than 3 gal/wk for topping and another gallon for the initial nute mix.... 4 gallons/wk.

Three weeks! WHOOP!!!!!

Three weeks! yeah!!! thanks for your input!....I'm already loooking forward to it.

I have kept them small. In the veg stage I topped them or femmed them 3 times so they would bush out and not up. If you take a look at the pix showing them in the AG unit, you can see how they grow out to the sides instead of up, which is what I DON'T want them to do. Topping, trimming, lst and bending them sideways and tucking in fan leaves has all helped.

Next grow, I'm going to go with 2/3 plants and let them grow a lot taller to see what happens. I couldn't do it with the 6 girls I got this grow. I had to keep them small to fit them in. I think that's why they are so dense. thankfully that 150 hps gets down there. I dont think I couldnt have flowered this very thick growth without it.

Out of curiosity I just measured my Pro200 grow surface (top) and it measures 16" X 8". My grow measures 36" X 26" X 15" tall, if anybody wants to compare bra sizes..

Hey, I went to radio Shack and they had one that was 60x-100x that was kind of the shape and size of a cigarette pack and maybe green.. I didnt get it. Is that the one I needed??? What magnificaion do I need? The chart makes no reference either.
Thx.
