Right both Jack Flashes were potted on today into 10ltr pots of bio-bizz all mix, this is their rootballs before potting on as they came out the 6ltr's, just about ready me thinks, and no the roots arent brown or yellow, theyre bright white, thats the light from the hps making em look that way lol
After re-potting, the plant on the left im giving to a friend next wednesday, to save killing it lol..........
I covered the surface of the soil to encourage root growth in the upper parts of the pots.................
And i used 6 "bendz" to LST the lower branches of the one im keeping..........

what are those things you used to bend the branches Lond? are the made for this or was it a Londoners idea?

FFS now where did that other Jack Flash go i wonder, im sure i left it around here some where lol must have packed up its roots and fucked off lol
Anyway, the one i have left is now 5wks + 3days old, now getting 1ml/ltr of bio bizz fish mix on each watering, pre-flowering, going nicely, not a great deal to report really at this time, the fun will start when i clone her for the SOG.
And the result of my lil experiment of covering the surface of the compost to encourage upper pot root growth, there we have it, 100% pot volume utilised

aww she looks lonely now mate, bet her sister is having a ball with loadsa difrfent straines some where out there lol. yeah that root cover is working will mate and as genfranco said on my thread the topper most root will get full strength nutes when u feed her, how long b4 shes ready to give birth?

She does look lonely mate, but hopefully there will be a couple of rare clones going in there soon to keep her company.
Yea with the roots at the top thing, on every re-pot i always had an inch or two of unused compost at the top with no roots in, probably up to 20% wasted pot volume, this way maximises pot space and root amount, and we all know more roots mean more yield
She will officially become a mum when the current SOG is about a week or so from finish, il take 25 clones from her, root them then straight in to the 6ltr pots, no potting on, maybe 2 days of 18/6 for them to get used to the pots then 12/12.
