Awww how did he die?
I recomend keepin them in a cage at night then letting them out daily.
They make great pets, mice eat all kind of stuff{wires, plastic, rubber} if theres no food around. They often choke on things like old vegitation {how mine died, from a stupid piece of lettuce}Very sad, sorry to hear that.

DWR I used to have a pet rat. The same thing happened. I was able to get him to a vet and she took him home and he died in her hands too. The pain I felt from losing that little guy was unbearable. My vet told me when they act that way it can be a couple of things. Either their age or he could of hit his head. She told me they only live to be about 2yrs old, not long. I know it hurts and it will get better. These little guys just don't live long. He is in a better place. I am sorry for your loss.:peace:

Thnx you.

Well, i think see'ing something i loved so much die in my hands, and it was very painfull for him... and me...

i took him out of the box, and as soon as i got him out, he wanted to die with me... he wanted me to be there for him. I stroked his ears, paws.... blew air in his face, put my nose on his body... it was something beautyfull yet very painfull at the same time.

:( nearly gona cry.. submit reply

You know what though? You know how lucky he was to have you there! He could of been all alone but he wasn't, he had you! He was so lucky to have someone that cared to hold him in his final hour. He wasn't alone and I KNOW that was comforting to him. You did a good job, and you should be proud of yourself for being there for him. I can't say it enough, you did a good job hon!

There is nothing like the feeling you get as you feel a life force slip away in front of your eyes. I have seen it and it compares to nothing else except seeing a new life emerge in front of your eyes. I saw lots of that working on a dairy farm when I was younger and I never got used to it.
