Added H2O2 and all plants dropping

Hey I read that you add 3% H2O2 (3 oz per gallon) So I added 30 oz to my 30 gallon rez today to ease the plants into the new additive. And within minutes my tallest best plants started drooping and the stem was even laying over at a 90 degree angle. Is this normal? I hope I didn't kill them and they come back to standing strt up!

did you seriously put 3oz per gallon of h2o2 in your res?!?!

thats amazing....i put 1ml of 3% per gallon when i use it.

if you used that much your plants are probably dead, you just completely fried thier root system.

where did you hear to use that much?

This was taken from RIU member Roseman from an Ed Roth article:

When 35% hydrogen peroxide solution is used, it can be added at the rate of three ounces per 10 gallons of water. If a 3% solution is used, use three ounces per gallon of water.

Checked my plants today and they are standing straight up, only thing is they have some burn on their leaves but I think that might be from adding more nutes not the H2O2.

So thanks for the scare everyone! I read that article cuz I typed in "root rot rollitup" into google to search for it and that is what it said to do ... is this wrong?

wow, in my experience roseman really knows his shit. but that still seems like a crazy amount of h2o2. like i said i use 1ml per gallon in my DWC setup daily and it keeps my roots pearly white.

glad to hear your plants made it. make sure you flush out those nutes that are burning your leaves.

Thanks for the concern... man though this pisses me off... I don't know if plants are under or over nuted... they are about 5 weeks old and started using nutes at 4 weeks old when I switched to flowering, I put it up to 250ppm then a few days later brought it up to 450ppm... but the advance nutes website says start flowering off at 800ppm! Are my leaves turning colors cuz I am at half that? Can anyone help with that?

we can figure it out with some pics. otherwise its just guessing. more details would help too. did the leaf damage happen in concert with the adding of the h2o2? did you up the nutes and add the h2o2 at the same time?

I know pics would help but I don't have a camera yet... yes I uped the nutes from 250 to 400ppm at the same time I added the H2O2. I think it's also becuz my room is running at about 85-95F... but I just started CO2 today and raised my 1000wHPS up another foot. The leaves are curled up which i know is from the heat stress but I don't know if I should bring my ppm up to 800 like the website says.

Yes, I added that in the first post that it was from Ed... and I don't think it is a mistake either, my plants aren't dead. I wondering if they could have taken the whole 90oz in a 30gallon rez!

Just to be clear, this isn't Roseman's fault guys. It comes direct from Ed:

yeah, rosemans a good dude. i gave him credit earlier.

im wary of the "weed guru's", they constantly contradict each other and generally seem like douchbags. every one of them is on some companies payroll to promote thier products.

now that you mentioned the high temps and other issues im inclined to think it might be a combination of things causing your problems.

i dont think adding any h202 makes any difference anyway, ur just potentially creating problems for urself, just make it simple, the more simple it is the better!!!!

it makes a world of difference in certain situations, but its not for every grow. it will fuck up organics, it will kill benificial microorganisims if you use them, but it will also save your DWC or NFT system from much trouble it used properly.

I run organic Aero and prefer Hygrozyme over H2O2 for my res problems.
what organics do you run in aero? and i said it doesnt work with organics too.

hygrozyme is awesome stuff, i use it with my organics and chem ferts. i combine it with h2o2 for my DWC buckets, low ppms on the h2o2 of course.

Now I'm thinking it's my Ph becuz I went to calibrate my meter and it wouldn't automatically calibrate, so now I have to call them up or bring it in to the local shop, uggghhhh, 1 week into flower and my plants look small and shitty, this sux.

if this is your first grow dont despair, youve made it farther that many others have. it take several grows to get your confidence up. your definetly in the right place, you will get the help you need. just try and read up on things yourself before you ask for help, youll get more respect that way.
