1st attempt to graft did i do it right

ok so i was cloneing for a friend today and i decided to try grafting. i cut this bud off a WW that is 4 weeks in flower, and grafted it on a male that is also 4 weeks in flower. as to not knowing what the hell i'm doing but it looks right. and another ?, is this how to get fimenized seeds. thanks

i have been reading and can't seem to find the way to feminize seeds, or if this is howlet alone if it will work one wat to find out,and a friend just happen to have both sexes 4 weeks in so i thought ya what the hell.

feminization is done by inducing a female in full flower to pop a few bananas(male flowers) then use those to pollinate. There is also a process using gibberellic acid, look that up. I saw a thread once on placing fermenting bananas in a bag with seeds you plan on germing for a week. With the ripening,
the banana will off gas some of the same type of beneficial acids and such for feminizing seeds. Hope that helps! I would graft in veg too. Make a 4 way.

I think you can force some male flowers to pop out with colloidal silver spray too. Feminized seeds come from a female plant that has been knocked up with male flowers off a predominately female plant.

I tried it decades ago. Instead of revegging a plant when I would harvest I would clone a small plant that I already had growing. You have a fully grown mature root structure to rely on and it doesn’t change/alter the plant if it is of a different strain because when you graft something everything above the graft retains its original genetics.

The thing is that grafts can be tricky and do not always take.

You can do a cleft graft or a bark graft (though in the case of ‘herb’ plants it is not actually bark and instead more of the following type of graft) a side-veneer graft or you can do a splice graft or you can do a whip and tongue graft or you can do a saddle graft. It just depend on the situation and your skill and what you hope to achieve.

If using an existing root structure you just leave more main stem on the plant when you harvest and then you can do multiple grafts if you want.

You could put two or three different strains all on one existing stem/root structure and create a bush of different strains. You just have to start with feminized beans or mother plants to get your grafting material from.

I have heard that when you spray a female plant with gibberellic acid (a hormone that is legal and you can buy online) it will force them to produce male flowers with out stressing the plant when the male flowers pollinate the females on the same plant you will have feminized seeds.

This is what green houses and seed companies do.

I have also heard people using collided silver to do this in the same manner. You can find collided silver on the web too and is a bit less suspicious.

thanks all. my being highashell was thinking that by and if for some freaky reason this works is to get the female bud i grafted on the male plant to seed up. why i don't no,just felt like the right thing to do. well at least no one got hurt in this processes, and i still go all my body pats. i just did this yesterday.i will be going back out there saturday and see, im sure it will live not sure of what to expect. one way to find out and that's do the dew.will keep you updated on the outcome.thanks

No, that will not happen.

When you graft something anything above the graft retains its original genetics. One does not overpower the other or alter the other.
