Hi Guys....

Here starts my little quest.

- Day 1 - 26/03/2009:

Started germinating 2 of my 3 feminized seeds. Paper towel method, covered with a cup upside down and put inside a cardboard box.

- Day 2 - 27/03/2009:

No sign of roots. Put one of them inside a pre-heated owen, about 34 Celsium degree

- Day 3 - 28/03/2009:

Keeping germination medium moist. Don´t know what will happen.

- Day 4 - 29/03/2009:

Root tips showing!! One of them about 2 inches long!!

The other, the one I kept inside the owen and kept the owen warm from time to time, showed a tiny root. This root not being white at all - more of a brownish yellow colour, and about 1/3 inch long.

PUT BOTH 1/2 INCH DEEP UNDER SUBSTRACT SOIL.

Watered. No lights at all now, only some sunlight through the window.

- Day 6 - 31/03/2003:

The first seed, the one with longer, white and healthir-looking root-tip came to suface level! Tiny little leafs, 2 leafs, yellow-brown colour. They look very fragile, and aren´t open at all.

I Put 3 CFLS, 6500k and 1250 lumens each near my pots.

One CFL over the big pot and the other 2 over the small pot with the seedling.

No signs of seedling in the big pot, the one with the yellowish mini root-tip seed planted

- Day 7 - 01/04/2009:

This morning, two wonderful suprises in my grow room:

1. The seedling in the small pot, Adrienne, became green! the leaves were open, there were 2 new little leaves and she seems happy under only 2 6500k CFLs, about 2 inches far away from her leaves.

2. The seed in the big pot, Amellie, became a seedling above the soil surface! A fragile yellowish one, like Adrienne the day before.

I put some little water on them and left home to work..... story continues latter, WITH PICTURES!

LOVE!

Day 8 - F**** UP GROWROOM

- Could'nt set up my grow room as I planned. Only have 3 6500k 1250 lumens, 23 watt each CFLs. Dont have white or reflective material around, so my 2 babies are getting poor lightining.

The seedlings are virtually the same size as 2 days ago. Perhaps i'm little anxious (I dont have medicine right now, since im still growing them ).

UNDER THE SUN

- Since my lighting setup is poor, I decided to put the plants outdoors today.

Outdoors during the day and indoor CFL during the night.

And it is a hell of a good sun here in Fantasy Island. 28-31 Celsium degrees most days, and we are in middle of autumn. I love our sub-tropical climate. Let´s see if the plants love it too when I arrive home today night! Pictures soon....

Day 9 - April 3rd - PICTURES!!!

This is Adrienne, the unhealthy-looking seedling (a clearly over-watered baby)

The seedling came to soil surface 3 days ago. Now look to your own left thumb nail. Her foliage is more or less the size of it. Tiny little bastard...

_MG_0070.jpg

Amellie, looking healthier, bus as tiny as Adrienne

_MG_0085.jpg

1115 lumens, 6500k, 21 watts CFL bulb

_MG_0080.jpg

It ISN'T a grow room nor a grow tent...

_MG_0093.jpg

...it is just 6 CFLs, a fan and 2 buckets...

_MG_0087.jpg

...on a shelf inside a small room!

_MG_0089.jpg

The almighty $10 hurricane-making Chinese machine refreshing Adrienne, the fragile overwatered tiny thing!

_MG_0082.jpg

Little Amellie and her big bucket. I don't think the $2 soil is as good as the packet says...

_MG_0078.jpg

Overwatered Adrienne

_MG_0073.jpg

Same

_MG_0075.jpg

Curly Amellie streching a bit for LIGHT! She is under a 1250 lumens, 23 watter 6500k.

_MG_0091.jpg

I have some 2700k CFLs aswell. 3 6500k and 3 2700k - 6 bulbs. Will upgrade soon, as light is never too much!

_MG_0081.jpg

Thank you all who read this post. Posts with suggestions, ideas and info are always welcome! Do you guys think those autoflowering indica-dominated strains are doing well? I'm afraid they should be bigger... I may have to control my easy-watering right hand!

Peace!

Oh, I almost forgot... there is also Unsexed Bitch, a third plant growing outdoors. Looks healthy as hell, and unlike the other 2 it is a Thai Super Skunk seedling, from the free seed packet our beloved seed vendor provides.... :-)

Day 10 - Adrienne goes hydro!

I made a cheap ass bubbler for the sick plant. Transplanted her to her new growing medium - coconut fiber and vermiculite. Her root was very small.

The other plant, Amellie, is doing very good on soil under the CFLs.

Her foliage is brigth green, almost lemon color.

Adriene is still small, she doesnt grows... her color is a dark green, and some yeallow spots began to show on her leaves. Anyone has any idea about that? I put her in the cheap bubbler DWC hydro system... and added SOIL FERILIZER in the water mix. Yeap... i'm going hydro using soil fert. But a good fert, contains everything from NPK to minor and micro nutrients (Iron, Boron, Copper, Mag, Zinc and all that stuff...). i added only 2/5 of the recommended quantity in the fert label. Hope this works.....

Tomorrow, pictures of the new bubbler.

Do you expert Hydro people think she will do good with SOIL fertilizer in the DWC water? I hope so... I don't have the money to buy Hydro ferts right now ;-)

Peace!

Day 11/Day 12

- Had to disasemble my grow setup, but for today only.

- Bought plywood to make a decent growbox. 3' wide x 2' high x 1' deep.

Will maintain the 6 23 watt CFLs:

3 6500k, 3 2700k - 1250 lumens each.

For today, the plants are outside, outdoors - but today is not a sunny day here in Fantasy Land - cloudy, a little rain. The plants are secure from the rain, under a roof outdoors.

- The 1st Pakistan Ryder, Adrienne, is looking very sick. Her leafes are so small, and began to become yellow.

- The 2nd plant, Amellie, Pakistan Ryder is healthier, is growing, her leaves turned from lemon green to dark deep green, and are getting bigger.

- The 3rd plant, Unsexed Bicth, thai s. skunk, is the heathier looking. Irocanily I dont give too much attention to it, and left it to grow outdoors in a small 1 gal. pot.

Oh, yesterday night I added some vermiculite in Amellie's and U.Bitch's soil. Amellie has the biggest root of the 3 plants.

Today I'll transplant Adrienne to some vermiculite-rich soil. She still is in a F*** Up Hydro bubbler with soil nutrients. She isnt growing at all and I think is nute stressed (yellowing leaf borders and no growth at all).

I´ll keep the post updated with pictures at least 2 times a week, to show growth.

The pack says it yelds up to 100 - 150 gr, but we know those autoflowering strains yeld about 50-70gr under ideal conditions ;-)

Day 14 from seed, day 7 from the day seedling popped up from the soil.

Adrienne is badly sick, yellowed leaf borders and no real growth at all. I replanted her in a new 3 gal. bucket with 50% vermiculite 50% substract soil and left her outdoors... shiny days those days.

Amellie on the other hand is looking VERY good! healthy, strong-looking steam, dark green sturdy leafs about - 3x bigger than Adrienne. She is living under 3 23 watt 6500K CFL + 3 23 watt 2700K = 7320 lumens total.

Unsexed Bitch, the Thai S. Skunk stills outdoors and seems happy. Shortest than Amellie, fragile steam, but with 6 mini leafs, while Amellie has ony 4 leafs. Its color is brighter, lemon green.

Will put photos today, now it's FOR SURE! ;-)

Here it goes....

PICTURES!!! - The plants are 1 week old counting the day they came to soil surface as seedlings.

I would like advice from the experts out here... are they too small for their age?

I'm using a 17/7 light regime

Yo, both Dans, thanks for reading.

I'm trying one of them using the method DimebagDan wrote, she is outdoors. Those are experimental grows, I want to learn the plant dynamics as much as I can.... if I yeld 1/16th in this first grow I'll be happy as hell! :-)

danrasta, the PR have almost pure Indica genetics, I think they are shorter than the original Lowryder 2, but I also feel they should be a bit taller. I was reading the journal of another guy growing Hindu Kush Ryder/Pakistan Ryders and his plant is 1,5'' also, after 10 days. But his leaves are bigger from what I saw in the pics.

I think I might change the light regime and work my fans (it is around 91F under the plants)!

PEACE!

91 is to hot. your soil doesnt contain enough perlite,i like 50/50 mix. but at least 25%.when you get temps right do 20/4 light phase. more time, more light, more growth. your plants look good for a week. they are slow growing for the first two weeks than boom(hopefuly). good luck and i have to saying we are all counting on you.

Thanks bro, I'll add some perlite to the soil aswell. I have like 40% vermiculite 60% soil, but vermiculite sucks too much water.

Your larger plant (female) is looking nicely well!

This morning I had the temp. managed in my grow room, adjusted the fan to blow directly on the lights and upped its blowing potency.

Oh, the weakest plant, the one I did'nt took pictures yesterday was put in a "Hempy Bucket", 100% coco coir. I also trimed her roots, they were rotting. I could'nt believe when I saw her leaves open this morning. Pakistan also. Cuting the root was a good move, I think. Will post pictures as soon I get home!
