My "girl" is about 9 weeks flowering - buds are looking nice and heavy, smelling yummy too - now all of a sudden there are little banana flowers everywhere. I can't keep up plucking these things either.

I do see a few seeds - and yes I know it's Hermied - but now that I'm this far will it ruin my harvest? I was going to let it go 2 more weeks. Help!!

Thanks for your help - again :)

what do you mean when you say "bananas" ?
There's little yellow banana looking things sprouting out from by buds - little clusters of them. They are in all those pictures. They grow then dry out. Always thought these were male flowers with pollen...?

Here are some pics - they all have the little bananas in them.
you are best harvesting it now as it will get worse and less potent the brown pistils are sign of pollination and if you chop it now and pick the bananas off you will get a better smoke than if you continue it to further deteriorate.

LUDA.

I should pick those bananas off before I dry it?
i was told that when a hermi pollinates its self that you get fem seeds.im not totally sure if this is true but i would let it go and plant the seeds you get from it.its cheaper than paying those crazy prices for fem seeds.

That's not how you do it. If you take hermied seeds from a hermied plant you will get a hermied plant.

You want to induce stress into a plant that has female genetics so that she produces male parts. Either by using giberellic acid or flowering her for a looong time. Harvest the pollen from that plant and pollenate a different female.

That will give you stable feminized seeds.

As far as THIS particular plant...chop it down. Way too many bananas, just chop it down, cut them off, dry it out and get what you get. Otherwise you'll be drowning in seeds. It doesn't take a lot of pollen to produce a lot of seeds.

i knew you use pollen from a hermi, just wasnt sure on the details.i think that was a female genetic plant.those male flowers came really late.most people tell me there hermies show way earlier.good luck with whatever you do.
