Would you be nervous? LOL

So my buddy has a guerrilla grow going somewhere... and when he went to check/water it his keen eye saw something out of place, and well hidden.

Being more level headed than me, he took it. Took it apart, and destroyed the sim card in it with his pictures and plants on it (yes it is a motion sensing camera).

So... would you have the balls to harvest?

Hmmmm..... Probably not. I'd expect that whoever left that animal camera there will be pissed it got stolen. I would've killed the plants, started a new grow and stolen the camera. Hopefully the camera hasn't been there longer than he noticed. I hate nosy fckers!

It was aimed at the crop, and the pictures date its arrival (last month). I was thinking LEO.

I told him I wouldn't dare go back... but he is convinced just going back one night to harvest he is in good shape.

No fuckin chance I would go.

there is a very small chance this is all a misunderstanding

but if the camera was aimed directly at the plants...

I'd go out there and make sure there are no more of them. Then I'd decide if it would be worth it to try and dig up my plants and move them.
Gotta think about if there is another one of those and if they have captured your friend tending to the plants.
Wow, that really sucks, I'd be scared as shit. Think about it, if the cops put that there, and they must have, who else would, they are trying to gather lots of evidence. They obviously don't have enough evidence otherwise what's the camera for. So, I'd make sure there are no more of those, he should go out there at about 5am and do a thorough search just to make sure. Then I'd think about the plants, obviously they would have to be moved to have any chance of harvesting them. Tough decisions.

eh, i'd get em probally. just wear a hat and bandana and shades and be real discreet real early in the morning and dont let em see you very well. if it was stuff that was all ready to be picked. but like the guy above said its not worth it to go back more than once.

The nice thing is, the flash mechanism was not disturbed... so in the dark, they should be pretty easy to find if there are more.

The plants are already 7 ft+. There will be no transplanting.

My guess was, because of its location, they want to know WHO it is. His plan is to go at 3 am some day in early Oct, hack em down with a machette, looking for flashes all the while, and rolling out.

I think he should go back tonight and look for flashes. If they collect another one he didn't find BEFORE he harvests... game over.

Sometimes common sense has to win. Common sense would tell you to leave and never come back. I don't play with fire. Such losses go with the territory in guerrilla gardening. If you cant walk away from your grow in a situation like this, you shouldn't be doing it, IMHO.

Ive gone to a spot and seen evidence of people having gone into where the plants were with machetes. I turned around, left, and never came back. Of course if it looks like ripoffs and not cops or other officials, I might consider otherwise.

Two weeks later my growing partner drove past the road that went into the area and there was a sheriff's vehicle parked by the road gate.

Ripoffs don't plant high tech motion detection cameras. If you don't listen to your intuition in such matters, you will get burned.

Sound words man. I think about crushing mine and I wonder if I could... I probably shouldn't be in the game. My personal situation is simple. I don't want to buy/transport it every week or whatever any more. I want to grow what I use, nothing more. It is the desire NOT to get busted which has me growing to begin with. Not selling... just trying not to be in a position to be busted with it in public. Not buying shitty bags of mexican brick that will interrupt my life if I am caught with.

As to his crop... it is 10 plants... 10 huge fucking female plants.

well if you took out the card, you could of pulled the pics off the camera. when they set it it probably took some shots of who put it there. i used a similar one for deer hunting near my stand, if aimed at the plants, big brother is watching you

Like I said... I agree. This is his gig... I just want some help convincing him he is NUTS to harvest...

BUT he is NUTS if he does NOT go back TONIGHT and see if there are more cameras... cause as it stands, he can be busted NOW never going back if there are more.

Ride the bike... jump off... roll in, jog around the crop... look for flashes... get it... get out.

Then, never go back.
