my sheltie once ate one of my brownies when i was like 17 and when i got home from school he was toast. He kept looking at his feet while they were crossed and proceded to fall over. He continued to piss all over the place and try to run down the street, i had to stay home that night and make sure my folks didn't see his condition. My friend and i were laughing our asses off but i was also afraid for the little guy. He ended up to be ok and lived a long somewhat normal life. I only write this in memory of him, he was my best bud(Max).

I have a couple of rats and they enjoy a little side smoke once in a while. It seems to calm Norbert, the male down and he will chill in my lap while while watching TV and reading. Oreo, the female gets very inquisitive and starts exploring every nook and cranny. Most of my rats (I have raised them for decades) have seemed to be fine with it. Only one rat ever exhibited any behavior that alarmed me and he stayed sober after that.

I really dont like debating this issue online as diff ppl have diff views.. Its kind of like discussing religion or politics online.. But..
I have not researched the subject at all ( yet ) , but IMHO marijuana could be harmful to animals.. Especially young and/or small animals ( puppies/kittens etc ). Like I said, I havent researched any info about it so I dont know for sure , but I just have a gut feeling that its not good for them.

I can agree with that. Smoke is carcinogenic so it is potentially bad for their health and ours too. I honestly don't see the big hype with getting animals high, invite some friends over.

That could be. Not sure here, but not all Western vets or doctors have all the answers and I just know my dog, who is picky about food because of an extreme high maintenance of pancreatitis is happier about eating when he's a little toked. I love him. I'd never try to hurt him. I figure. . . if it's good for cancer patients with appetite problems, its' got to be good with him, especially if he's on a food that the vet has prescribed but he doesn't want to eat because of lack of flavor or enticing smell.

I got my dog high and he lived to the ripe old age of 5!

Lol, just kidding. My dog's still alive and kicking, I love her, she's a good friend. When I get high around her she gets really cuddle-y and will sit next to me on the couch and get real close and curl up and watch TV with me.

But it doesn't cause cancer.. The word carcenogenic is thrown around very loosely, tobacco wouldn't cause nearly as much cancer if they took the time to grow it organically without apatite based fertilizers (nicotene is still carcinogenic though as even vaporized tobacco runs the risk of cancer). A lot of the CBDs in marijuana inhibit unnatural cell growth and thus do a good job of keeping cancer at bay.
