growing without using nutes only water?

I have seen good results with nothing more than tap water and bog standard soil. Even tap water has some nutrients in it along with the growing medium.

cool and yea my soil has built in nutes and i use tap water and the plant is green so i must be doing it something right. thanks guys

I'd just keep an eye on it and if you start seeing a deficiency then buy a ph meter and see whats going on and go from there! But if all looks healthy carry on!

Yeah this year I did 10 plants organic, 20 plants nutes. So far, They all look almost Identical. The plants are so nice, juicy and thick I can just grab them by the stem and walk them around. The buds are bigger than my long neck beer bottle. Need to get some pics of this shit, Only have some when the organic ones were babys.. Here they are!! =]

"you've seen good results" just haven't done it yourself I guess?
Yes exactly that, There was a thread on here by a guy that used the same soil for 2 or 3 grows one after another an only used tap water, the results were excellent, lowryder if I remember right. Von Dankenstein was the op....

he did it organicly and added different stuff(worm castings, compost, fish guts) to make his own organic super soil if he supposedly used the same soil 3 times in a row.

If your using nuted soil then you are giving it possibly some of the nutes needed and should be able to grow to completion. All the nutes these days are results of years and years of research to find the best conditions possible to get the best results based on the plants needs during its lifecycle.

have you done it yourself?!? maybe you might have been able to read about it if you had spent some of your 3 week membership reading instead of having 500 usless posts.

yes, to complete a grow properly without feeding nutes you need built up soil. no, this is not the same as feeding with nutes.

I am curious about this as it pertains to Fox Farms soils. Has anyone ever completed a grow using their soils with no added nutes?

in my readings i mostly come across people saying that the nutes in FF soil does not last for an entire grow. read this - https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/44686-subcools-super-soil.html
I'm having some strange issues with Fox Farms soil on my current grow which is why I'm asking. I have some white widows that the leaves are starting to die off. I have only fed them once with 1/4 strength Grow Big and they are still looking like shit. I have used FF soils in the past with good results and i didn't have to add any nutes at all during veg and only minimal nutes in mid-late flowering. I'm stumped.

BTW I hate mixing my own soil. Too much of a pain in the ass.

Yes but you want to make sure you have the best soil medium pos sible.,.,.you dont want to slack up with where those ro0ts lay.,.,.,.get some go0d fox farms/or get a lovely soil mix recipe and all will be irie.,.,.,u will get a go0d earthy smoke from plants not dealt with.,.,go0d luck and happy sowing .,.,.,.,forward

it can be done but a day out fishing and buying a few mushrooms isnt to hard is it?

the mushrooms are for phosphorous the fish are for a lot of different things.

put them in the soil give some time to decompose (breaking up to airate every now and then. possibly some cow shit or chicken shit would be good too you dont need much.

then plant
water from then on as necissary

so basically its free (but can can be done completely free by some people) and youll get some good plants as long as there well taken care of.

hope this helps
peace out
