On a lighter note if you are indeed over the age of 18, have a decent green thumb, and a place to grow. Getting some friends together to pitch in money is a great idea. Seriously if you have to resort to asking for money over the internet you need more friends (Not the imaginary type....they don't count, no matter how hard you try)
