Help with Blackmail! big time!!

the first lines of text in the thread=This is really crazy but I am being blackmailed by a neighbor, so it would seem.

I live in CA where I am growing plants with 5 others and we all have legal scrips for our grow. We are close to harvest now and the following letter is what I found taped to my gate of my home.

If they are legal then whats the point in the thread? This should be laughed off and nothing more. Thats why I asked if legal growers can to get together on the same location and grow as one group rather then seprately. If it's legal to do so then no worries but if it's not legal then thats where the problem is. If it's against the law for patients to grow together in one crop then thats why this cocksucker is blackmailing, cause with all the plants together it becomes illegal for all that MJ for one patient to grow.

This info would have been much more helpful in the first place. I know there has to be some medi growers from Cali around, can growers get together and grow legally on the same location? If so then theres nothing at all to worry about except find out who it is and be sure to blow that dank ass smoke his direction so that he may get a whiff of what he tried to fuck you out of.

I think your neighbor is a pot head not a grower and thinks it is easy to just pull ounces out of your ass and is trying to extort you. I really think he may be turning around and distributing as well illegally.

If, as you say the crop is out of sight and you are assuming the must have been on your property then it would far easier for them to just cut them down and be off, and not go through all this hollywood crap. Is it possible that it may be a friend? or relative? in need off cash? Or just jealous of your buds? Look closer to home my friend. People are crap liars. You are legal and your friends are legal and under the limit for plants. Honestly the best advice I could ever give is leave the notes with the cops. Likely since they don't know who sent it they will not go door to door asking and it will be forgotten unless your neighbor decides to leave another note or call the cops. At that point the cops know your situation and you will be left alone while the other person, if they can prove the letter was theres, will likely have legal actions taken against them. Worst thing ever to do is handle this by yourself. I've found this out the hard way, the second you get involved in something related to legal activity to take care of it easily is the moment you let yourself be open for getting in trouble too. Everything you do from how you approach the neighbor, how your leave a note, leaving a bag of poop or what not can be construed in so many ways from threatening them, harassing them back, to if you left some kind of explosive device in the bag (ink bomb etc) you could be looking at possible assault w/ deadly weapon and what not. IT comes down to your word vs there except your word won't mean shit since you didn't involve the proper authorities. Just report it and let it go. Unless the neighbor tries again to blackmail you the cops likely won't pursue it. Also put a camera in your backyard in case they do try and steal your plants or to see if they are sneaking on your property. Stuff like this has the possibility to turn out very badly for you depending on how you handle it and the way authorities want to view your actions. It is not funny when you have charges pressed on you when you are clearly in the right at this point.

I had to shoot someone once and thank to fucking god I had spent 7k on a nice security layout and had the camera right where i needed it.

i'd probably suggest someone sitting around out back now and then at night, he could try ripping your crops "to prove a point". regardless, he's sent out a blackmail letter which the piolice will not take kindly to, and until the feds arrive, the police can do nothing but tell this guy to back the fuck up or they'll have him arrested

ust tell him to get his own card. and also tell him that you can't give him any or sell him any as that is against the law. express that whether he likes it, is envious, douibts it's legality, you let him know just how legal it is, and how many steps of the law you're trying to follow to the letter.

Your neighbor is the one committing the crime here. Whether or not the police will put any effort in to catching him is another matter. That might be too much like work for them...

My first thought is to leave him a bag of trim or schwag that you pissed on. But there is a good chance he is going to sell it, so more than likely an uninvolved 3rd party ends up with it.

I say to leave him a bag of oregano or catnip with a note. Explain that you are legal, and pay your taxes. Also explain that blackmail is a crime. Perhaps even leave him the name of a doctor to get his own med card. Either watch from a distance, or put up a hunting camera so you can see which neighbor it is. Once you know who it is, go have a talk with him.

Explain to him how you have him on tape picking up the "weed" he extorted from you. Also that you have an extortion note in his handwriting with his fingerprints on it. Tell him that if your garden is robbed, the police will know who to talk to first. You should be able to tell from his reaction whether or not your point got across.

If you think that scared him, just continue to guard, or at least put up a video camera in your garden, just to be on the safe side.

If he tries to pull a tough guy act, then you have a couple options. Call the police and explain the situation.

OR find a rural bridge with deep water underneath. Buy some heavy chains. Catch your neighbor alone with no witnesses. You can fill in the rest of the blanks yourself...j/k, sort of.

The letter is evidence of blackmail first off. There are many ways you could go about it. First is to contact an attorney! Stoners dont give the best legal advise, including me. Then go and buy an 8 ball and plant it in his car then call the cops

yeah I'd leave a small bag of crumpled paper saying "I don't do blackmail" in where he wanted you to go. hide out in the bushes somewhere, and take a picture of him picking up the bag. bring the note and all this other crap in as evidence for the police to arrest his bitch ass.

this is just to do as a defensive tactic, to prevent him from bringing the cops in on you.

Do nothing. Keep the letter and make sure all your paperwork is in order.

If he does call the cops, comply with them. Then inform them of the blackmail attempt. Show them a copy of the letter. Let them put two and two together.

He wanted a half-pound of high quality cannabis for his silence. He needs to go away now.

If you choose to do nothing, you can expect one or two more letters; each more threatening than the previous one. Seal them in ziplock baggies and do your best not to touch them at all.

You also need to be prepared for a break-in. I doubt this guy will actually call the cops. He's a criminal.

Inform him that the law is on your side. Inform him that local law enforcement have already been notified and any further attempt at extortion or harassment will be duly reported.

You might also remind him that jailbirds don't pay taxes.
