my first grow

ok this is my very first grow. i got very discouraged at first because i ran out and bought a bunch of bs i thought i needed for a grow without doing any kind of research. then i found this site and i found out every thing i was doing was wrong. im on a budget so the grow is still pretty ghetto, but heres what i got now. 2-42w 6500k cfl,3-23w 6500k cfl, and1-42w 2700k cfl. iwould like to spring for the 85w dual spectrums from sh, but like i said im broke. im using the sh bubbleponics setup. i bought my seeds from cannibisseeds.com and havent heard too many encouraging things about them on here since. now i know to research everything first. you live and you learn. but im gonna try these seeds anyway as im too broke to try another bank right now. theyre suppose to be ww so well just have to wait and see how they turn out. any feedback is much appreciated as im very new at this. :eyesmoke:

ok i have some foamy looking bubbles in my reservior and i was wondering why. should i be concerned or is this natural. please respond if you know anything about this.

don't know much about the bubbleponics and why it might be foaming. I just started my first grow journal today too though heh, you can check it out in my sig if you want, its a cfl/closet/soil grow. I was thinking about going bubbleponics first, but thought i should keep it as simple as possible my first time through.

thanks. hopeful everything turns out good. im trying to follow rosemans setup as close as possible.

should of went bubbleponics if your going for simple. nothing simpler and roseman has posted a million growing with bubbleponics to make things even easier.

ok yesterday was the 2 week mark. i changed the res for the first time. kind of a pain, i think i will use rosemans technique next time. i also topped one of the two. one is still a real runt. im not sure if its even gonna make it but i wont remove it just incase it springs back. the other one is thriving. it looks great. i will post pics as soon as my wife gets home and shows me how.haha. im pretty technology illitterate.

picture 1 is the runt. 2 and is the big one and 3 is the roots. dont know why just think it looks cool.

2 weeks and 2 days and it seems like my ph goes up daily. the runt still looks like gabage but the roots still look like theyre growing. this ph thing was a little more work than i anticipated. i dont know if 80 ph strips will cut it.

well i dont get it. the runt doesnt seem to be growing at all, but the roots look like theyre growing. it looks so small and deformed compared to the other one. the big one seems to get bigger everyday, while the runt just stays the same. any advice on why this might be happening?

ok. ive been fallen off a bit on keeping up with my own thread. i just get lost in other peoples threads. theres so much to learn out there. plus i cant find my camera. its disappeared in a riff in time. but today is 3weeks 2 days of the veg state. my tiny mental plant is just starting to show new signs of life. my other one is a monster. it gets bigger everyday.ill update with pics if i ever find this camera.

ok. its 3 weeks 3 days in the veg state. i found the camera in my kids toybox. it seems a little less focused than before,but here they r. the first 2 r the runt. shes showing new strange looking growth. nothing like the big one, which is pictures 3 and 4. i love waking up in the morning and seeing how much they grew while i was sleeping.

ots 3weeks and 4 days into veg and i am going out of town for the weekend. since i seem to have a problem with my ph going up everyday. im going to do a drain and replenish before i leave and im going to set my ph kinda low. like 5.3 or around there. i figure that will keep it in the norm a little longer seeing as how i always wake up to 7 or higher even though i spend all day striving for 6. i havent had to use my ph up at all, but im already almost out of ph down so i will probably have to buy more very soon.

well i just got back and my plants got big while i was gone. the runt came back to life and started a whole lot of new growth. they drank alot while i was gone. first time i seen a whole gallon disappear in 2 days. i added some more nutes and a little ph down because i was sittin at about 7.25. im siitin at about 6.8 right now. ill try to lower it a little more in some hours.

get some 65w 2700cfls from home depot for 15$ each. 4200 lumens. same lumens as SH 85w.get a reflector for 7$> so you can get the same output as the dual 85w from SH for half the cost

i decided to top a couple of the longer side branches. then i tied them up with some hemp string so theyre looking up at the lights. has anyone else done this? can it turn those branches into colas. heres a couple pics of what i did.
