Hermies, please provide advice ASAP

This is my first grow, I got 4 clones of an unknown type from a friend and it has been going great so far. Please see my journal for info on the grow, it's a quick read since I've had very few posts.

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/248028-my-first-grow-1000w-hps.html

I'm 1 month into flower and the plants are quite large and are doing very well, until...

I just looked at the plants closely for the first time in a week and and one of them has balls everywhere, some more developed than others. Some of them have already burst. This plant is actually my best plant with about 10 decent colas on it and they are quite dense, but again, it's only a month into flowering. I also noticed balls on at least 1 of the other 3 plants. I have no idea what I should do or how I could have caused this. I've done a ton of reading about growing but dealing with hermies is one topic I skipped over to be honest and I need to make a decision fast so don't have time to read about it. Since it looks like some of them have already hatched I guess I'm already fucked. I'll just have seedy weed? Since I only found a few balls that burst should I axe the 2 (i only have 4) of my plants that are hermie and hope the other 2 didn't get pollinated or as mentioned, just cry a little and leave things as they are and finish off the grow. Is there any advantage to keep picking the balls off the plant?

I don't plan on selling any of this and it is just for a personal stash. Will the quality of the buds suffer massively due to this, or just the quality? I don't mind picking out seeds and am not as worried about losing a ton of weight since it is already more than I need. I've never smoked seedy weed so I don't know what to expect, is it way less potent? =(

Please help...

Nobody has any advice?

I'll do some reading in the morning, and I know you are normally supposed to kill males/hermies but since it looks like it has already released pollen (and 2 of the 4 plants seem to be hermies) would I just be better leaving them be? Will you still get as stoned off of seedy bud, assuming you pick out the seeds?

photos would really help but rule of thumb is to move hermies away, cut the little balls off if you can. may be too late lol

you will still get bud off hermies it's just not as potent coz the energy that should have gone into making lovely lovely good stuff is now being used to make the balls

Ive smoked weed that had seeds picked out of it and I still got high. If the sacks have already bursts then its probably too late to save your females from being pollinated. Id say fuck it and let em keep growing, harvest and smoke your weed. Start over with a different source for your next grow though.

BTW, I think how well you grow your plants will have a greater impact on potency than whether or not it has seeds.

Pull the nanners and hit that shit with some reverse and you'll be as golden as a leprechaun's arse-hole...lol...

No, I don't think I have any light leaks, the plants are in the basement and should get no light at all. A few things I did that perhaps stressed them was repotting them 2 weeks into flower and also trimming off lower branches 3 weeks into flower, could that cause hermies?

"BTW, I think how well you grow your plants will have a greater impact on potency than whether or not it has seeds."

I hope so. So far it is looking very healthy, other than the balls.

I've attached 3 pics, the first is the plant that is the hermie. The second is some of the balls I picked off the plant last night, and the third is the best shot I could get of the only balls left on the plant after I picked them all off.

I'm still not sure what to do. They are 30 days into flower and a few of the sacks did burst for sure, which seems like it is probably too late and my ladies are already pollinated. I'm thinking the best bet might just be to keep picking the balls off every few days and just let the 4 plants finish. I need to get as much weed as I can out of this as I can't grow again for a while...

"I just had a morph blow some dust on my girls and my weeds not effected but mine blowed pollen late in flowering"

How late into flowering? My plants are doing quite well (32 days into flower) and have very sticky firm buds but they still probably have a month to go...

"Pull the nanners and hit that shit with some reverse and you'll be as golden as a leprechaun's arse-hole...lol..."

hit it will reverse, what do you mean?

Also, if I did decide to pull the hermie, based on the pics attached would I still be able to get high off the buds on that plant?

Any more advice?

yeah dude theres not much u can do about the male flowers opening now, ur other plants will get seeded but u still will have good potent bud if the seeds are real chronic, when ur female plants get pollinated they no longer put all of their energy into the buds but alot of their energy is now devoted to seed production. They wont be as potent as they could be but probably close. It also might be in the plants genetics to herme naturally, years ago i bought feminized seeds from Dutch Passion a few times and alot of their strains became hermes also (No fault of my own) it all depends on the strain u have which u have no control over , and if those were ur plants in the pics they look awesome for 30 days flowering.

Here's a good read and it will explain the reverse that VonDank described https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/182247-feminized-seeds-hermie-test-14-a.html

doesnt hermies create feminized seeds? i read somehwere that in order to get feminzed seeds i needed to force my female plant to hermie out.. the pollen from the hermies nut sacks will pollenate the same plants buds, grow seeds, and these seeds are feminized.... I hope im right because i believe i have a hermi plants

yes a female plant that is STRESSED and THEN turns into a herme will produce female seeds but if its in that particular strain to herme it will more than likely become a herme whether stressed or not, like i said I bought seeds from Dutch Passion that were feminized and on more than one occasion they herme'd because those seeds came from plants that had hermaphodation in their genes

I was just admiring my girls before lights out, and noticed on one of them, and only one, a batch of seeds forming. Odd thing is, this is only happening on one bud area of one plant. After spotting that I carefully scrutinized all other bud sites on all other plants, and nothing. Just this one flower/bud on the one plant. Anyone ever see or have this happen to them. First semi-serious grow, pitched a bunch of males about 6 or 7 weeks ago and thought I was going to be in for a real treat in about another month. Now I'm skeptical about this plant, and the rest of them, being that they are all together in a closet. They've been on a very strict 12/12 schedule for well over a month now, just don't know what happened, or any possible remedies this late in the game? Any ideas, suggestions, or tips are welcomed.

P.S. This is all bagseed, and I don't own a digital camera or a cell phone so no pictures available. This happened on one of the plants I had outside all summer but brought in when the nights started getting cold, maybe 3-4 weeks ago now. The two that were outside full time are by far the healthiest, bushiest, and seemingly most productive of all. It may seem odd, but I did several outside only, several that got moved from outside to indoors several times, and a few that were indoors only. I know it can be hard sometimes to get help with no pics, but nothing I can do about that ATM. Just wondering how/why this would happen to only one particular site on only one plant. Thanks in advance for the help RIU.

chances are that ur going to start to see more little clusters of seeds forming on all of your buds and theres nothing u can do about it. If ur serious about havin top quality smoke u need to order ur seeds(Feminized) and that way u know what they are and where they came from. My first grow was bag seed and they all were hermes it was in that particular strains genetics. The only way around that is to know ur seeds and where they came from.

Ok, that doesn't sound _that_ bad. Yes, they are my plants after about 31 to 32 days flowering, can't remember exactly. This is my first grow and I couldn't believe how smoothly things were going up until this point, which is why I was so disappointed to find the hermies yesterday =(
