no the leaves look green no yellowing or signs of nute burn or looking wilted just there. lots of space between nodes and the buds in betwwen have a bush of hairs (1970's style but the bud volume is low.

go on one of the seed bank websites ( I assume your not in a medical mj state, where clones are available), and find a potent strain that's easy to grow, mabey a hearty indica of some kind... does someone else on here has a strain suggestion? Now that I think of it I grew Hash plant a few years ago, and that was pretty easy to grow, and it was awesome bud!

After reading your problems, and everyone elses input, i'd have to say you have a lighting problem.. 2000 watts is a lot, but if you have the light hanging too high your gonna cause your plants to stretch. When they stretch, your gonna get more length between your flower sights and therefore less buds. Since we have no pics i'm not sure how your light system looks compared to your room set up, but if i were you i'd keep the light no more than a foot above your ladies while beginning to flower. Once they hit around 3-4 weeks into flower, I'd move them up another foot or so to disperse the light around your big room more for they wont grow too much more after 3-4 weeks into flowering. If you can get them not to stretch so much, you'll get more bud sites concentrated into a smaller area and therefore more dense buds instead of that 70s afro bull shit you've been seeing. Mostly what ive seen from my experiences especially since your plants seem healthy, fluffy weed is due to lack of light and stretching. Also make sure your using something to reflect the light back to the plants, whether that be a painted white wall or mylar that you purchased from the hydro store. Wish you the best of luck brother.

tampa florida wher everything comes through but never stays. u get the same charge for a roach as you would an oz. there is no local store within these state lines to be able to do a looksee and just the thought of someone knowing your groing is bad. i have no profit motive!! if i sell to a few close friends to cover a few of the nute and power bills cool if not i'll smoke it all myself. but i like ti get high with my friends.

i keep the lights at 15" i have a pair of panties that i use as a guide that i hang to maintain that distance. the whole room is covered in mylar all the walls except for the cieling that i have two layers of poly shield infa red that also streches down 2" around the walls. i tried to get closer but all i did was burn the tops off what should have been the premo buds

What are you trying to say? You should read a lot more, ask a lot of questions about everything, lights, ppm, ph, temps, strain, fresh air, and post pics all of this can affect your grow. Read the basics 101 and then do it, it sounds to me like you just arent very knowledgeable in growing period. No offense

sweet man, I used to live in St. Pete, but have since relocated to a MM state... Do you use reverse osmosis water? I know the tap water in st. pete is horrible, and I can only imagine it's just as bad in tampa. I wouldn't even water my soil plants with it.. If you dont have an RO system, you should purchase one. I think there is a hydro store in clearwater...

haha I went to st. pete college too!! I transfered to a school that has horticulture science, and here I am today! What I love about growing in florida is that once a seedling pops out of the seed you dont need a humidome to keep it alive! You should do a grow journal for your next attempt. then you can list all the specific of you grow step by step, and will have all of us helping you along the way. I started a journal, no replies yet, but its only been a day...

veg room 6x6.5x7.5 flower room same lighting in the veg room i have 6 cfl lights for the babies 6 for two mothers that i kept from the first grow. 6 for the seedling section and 6 for my aeroponic cloner. flower romm has 2 400w hps and a 1000w mh room temp with the lights off 68 degrees with the lights on 77-79. hum. 35-45 never more or less. drip system for the moms and babies ebf for the ladies. started with some really really really good mid grade bag seed and the first grow the hydro grown bud was not as good as the bagweed and i only got about 1/4 oz per plant? i use co2 with a climate control system with a co2ppm monitor> the atmosphere is not my problem. air flow - hym - temp- odor is under control. why did my bud not even come close to the looks or bulk that i started with. in theory i thought i could make something good better?
In my opinion your main problem in the flower room is the fact that you are using a 1000 watt Metal Halide and two 400 watt HPS. You have 1800 watts of poor light for large scale flowering, IMO. The 400 watters will not give you adequate penetration for big, dense buds, and the MH is probably the wrong spectrum for flowering. Replace all of those lights with two 600 watt HPS and you will see better results for less electrical costs, IMO.

I assume that you're using the MH to achieve some kind of full spectrum in flowering; this is a big waste of 1000 watts IMO. Instead, use a full-spectrum HPS bulb like the Hortilux if you want an extended spectrum in flowering.

Just my take based on what you've said so far...

Dump that 1000w MH light and use it for vegging. Get a 1000w HPS for those nice buds. If you want something that is a higher producer than get some Big Bud strain. They pretty much grow on their own and the buds are fucking huge. Most the time you will need to tie up the lower limbs so the don't break from the weight of them.:bigjoint:

whatever your problem is, I don't think it's due to the fact that you are using a 1000 watt MH in your lighting mix, all the pros mix both hps & MH spectrum lighting in their flowering stage, and I know stinkbud would back me up on that because he uses both, check out his article in high times.. if anything I would replace your 2 400 hps with a 1000 watt hps, and keep using the MH. I have had great results using both MH and hps together...
My question for you donpablo is, do you have air cooled reflectors hooked up to an exhaust fan sucking the hot air out of your grow room?

Dude already said his room was adequately cooled, and an exhaust fan will suck out the CO2 that he's using as well. If it's properly ventilated the lights will be isolated from the room with cool tubes and ducting, and the room itself will only ventilate if the environmental controller detects that it is too hot (while shutting off the CO2).

I agree that full spectrum is best; I just think he's got it wrong. The 400 watt HPS providing the "flowering" spectrum is not powerful enough, and the MH is too powerful for what it's doing.

He's only growing in a 6X6 room, and I'm sure probably only 4X6 of it's being used, and you want him to throw in another 1000 watt light? I agree that he needs a more powerful HPS, but if he's doing a SOG (and not growing trees) then two 600 watt full-spectrum HPS will give him better horizontal coverage and good enough penetration to pull a zip a plant with a good strain and CO2, for half the electrical costs.

Just my opinion...:peace:

Ya you're right. A full spectrum is better. In fact that's what I use myself. I was thinking he is growing in a much larger scale. That's why I suggested the 1000w Hps. A lot of times the reason for small quantity is because not enough light penetration.

I am blown away that no one has picked up on this:wall:

First of all if you are going for quality you want around 50 or more % MH despite all ppl that say HPS. The HPS is way more productive with the imput power, it will give u more bang for the buck, but for proper THC and other cannaboid production it needs the element of UVB because this is in the sun and what induces a cannabis plant to produce resin and convert its compounds. MH puts off UVB and even though HPS is correct sprectrum it has no UVB.
I would recommend the red colored MH but there is also reptile lights that produce UVB( beware not to use for entire day cycle)

The male plant that polinated your bag weed was probly of lesser quality.

But the thing that amazes me, I may hav missed it but I dont think anyone said this...

YOUR USING A SOIL FERTALIZER AND NOT A HYDRO.

when growing hydro everything has to be that much more persice, first for hydro u must alway reverse osmosis your water.
second hydro nutes are supose to be about 25% the strength of soil, this is because the roots are bare and exposed to the nutes alot more often, this makes it easy for nute burn.

If your Gonna Grow hydro your nutes are what make ur end result and trust me a good hydro nute plan is gonna run you atleast 500 if not more..

Hope this helps:bigjoint:
