The BubbleHead Gang

ok it turns out i didnt resize them after all. Ok so here is the low profile clone bubbler I made. I used an oil change pan and washed the crap out of it. I then made the holes for the 3" net pots with a roto zip (under the supervision of my cats) Good thing to because ive never used the roto zip and boy it can cut way faster than you think. I almost cut the crap out of the oil pan. So then I drill a hole for the air line and put in a 6" air stone. I then put a single layer of clay pellets, put the rockwool cubes on that and filled in the rest of the space with more clay pellets add 1 gallon of half strength nutrients and its all set. total cost $20.00

Awesome setup man. Absolutely beautiful. I don't know about using half strength nutes though. I think that might kill them. I don't ever use anything other than a fungicide type supplement i.e. aquasheild, sub culture, flora sheild and superthrive.

True that Jonny. Didn't catch it. No roots = No nutes. I just add superthrive for the clones until they root and then sneak up on them with 1/8 to 1/4 strength and then watch.

Hey Jonny, maybe you can help me out with the whole, "superthrive" thing. I have some, and used it, but didn't have a good gauge on wether it was helping or hurting, so I stopped. What are your recommended dosages if you don't mind sharing..

Sorry I should have been more speciffic. Im only giving them half strength advanced nutrients b52. Its all I use till they have some good roots. well other than the first dose of root-tech gel when I cut them.

Okay. so there's some controversy about this and the bottle is actually very misleading in the fact that it says " DROP A GALLON" but it's not actually a drop. I'm working from memory here but I'm pretty sure in the fine print it says 1 ML per gallon. Which is a hell of a lot of drops. And I did notice a huge difference when i started using that much per gallon. But like it says. Its only a suppliment. It is to be used in conjunction with nutrients. Its like only eating a multivitamin every day. You'll still starve to death. No matter how many vitamins you take.

And I can't see superthrive in it's proper dosage EVER being detrimental to your plants health.

I incorparate it into my deep root fertilizing that I do for my clients. 4 fluid oz. per 200gal.

Using it out of the grow room, I've noticed miracles with the stuff. Literally bringing trees back to life. Absolutely amazing results with it.

I mix Liquid fert ALLLLL day in the spring and fall. Making 200 gal at a time 5-6 times a day. Takes 40 min to fill my "res" :)

I add superthrive to every res change at 1 tsp ( 5ml) per res full. Never done a res change without it so I don't know what it does or doesn't do but it ain't hurting nothing. Makes my tomotoes outside bigger and healthier and that much I know for sure. Grandpa used it years and years ago and would just wink at me which was his sign for don't tell anybody. It's a secret tonic! LOL! He used to get it along with his seed potatoes and I swear he used it on his potatoes as a foliar spray when I wasn't looking because I can smell it or at least I could when I was younger. LOL!

I added a full dose today gowing by week 4 of FF feeding schedule, and a 5ml of cal mag. I'm using cha-ching so I'm good on bloom boosters I believe.....On another note I bought an RO stealth 100 today and although its putting out low 20 PPM water its PH is above 9...WTF is up with that?

I'd rep you again Dys but it seems I can't....and you have a kick ass scrog going my friend.
Let me see if I've got this right...you're in mid-flower and you're only on week four of the FF schedule - still in the veg cycle with your nutes? Are you using the Cha-Ching yet? Seems like to me that your plants are screaming for more of the flower nutes.

Sticking with the veg nutes for a couple of weeks into flowering is a good idea, but when the pH starts to drop it's definitely time to start using flower nutes.

IDK about the RO pH at 9, I've never heard of that before...I assume you're using a meter and it's properly calibrated?

Hey MC, you know the bags that came with the vapir One? Did you clean the bags? or toss them? their getting really sticky so they won't fill up right. I still have three more bags and I figure I get about 25-30 fills a bag before they get to sticky. I was thinking just pouring some isopropyl alcohol into them swishing it around for a couple min then pouring it out and let it dry? have you made new bags?

NO, I got 5 with the Vapir and I switch between two of them right now and have 3 new ones for later. Not getting excessively sticky for me. I can taste some of the old vapes at time but it's weird. Sometimes I do and somtimes I don't. I probably have at least 100 vapes per bag not. Maybe it's because I vape mine at a lower temp than you do. I can never tell for sure when a batch is done so I just go by effect. When I raise the temp a little and still don't get a rush I look at it and it's brownish and dry and doesn't small at all. I tried to BHO a batch of vaped bud and got nothing.

iso will disolve those bags for sure. Maybe a weak (3%) H2o2 would be better but it hasn't come up for me yet. The wife would be the first to know. She's one of those sensitive females and if you tell her I said that I'll deny it! LOL!

Dys,

I meant week 4 of flower in the FF feeding schedule...yes using cha ching now, before that beastie bloom, before that open sesame. I've been using distilled water straight out of the gallon.

My RO has been running for over an hour through at least 15 gallons and it's still pumping out PH 8.9...dunno what's up with that going to let it run a while longer. My PH meter is calibrated.

I've been so hesitant to add too many nutes fo fear of locking something out, I may have been starving them...I'll do a full res change tommorow with more cal-mag if necessary.

Has anyone here ever used GH Flora grow and bloom with Fox Farm solubles? Thinking of scraping the fox farm liquids my next grow, and keeping the solubles.

Picked up 2 GH waterfarm units today...came with GH Flora grow, bloom , and micro.

Yes superthrive from seed/clone to flush week every grow. I have one of those kiddie medicine droppers that holds 5ml and it zip boom bah every grow but like said before it's more vitamin than anything. For me it lives up to it's name and my plants thrive no matter what I do to them. I bend them all through the grow also. No hermies no foul! LOL! Falls in that "it can't hurt" category.
