Thanks decided to try something other then air cooled for a change liking it a lot my self.Subscribed, sick looking setup.
Very curious about those water cooled hoods - thinking of running two 1K of them in my 8x4 tent.
Without a chiller, a 100 gallon reservoir would be reasonably sufficient to keep their temps in line?
And I'm guessing I can't use my reservoir with nutes in it, as it would damage the light somehow?
Thanks for your time, and keep up the good work.
I did some research on this before i started investing money into this set up. And from all my research im gonna try looking up everything i found and post it soon. Well anyways from all my research since there's only bout 3/4 inch of water blocking the lumens on every 1000watt which is roughly 125000 lumens il be losing 3200 to 4000 lumens. Per so il still be getting roughly 121000. Also i can have the lights a LOT closer now to the plants a few inches with out getting bleaching. getting much nicer denser nugs now so was way worth sacrificing the few lumens. Happy Growing .how many lumens do you loose through the glass on the cool tubes scribed
Thanks, appreciate the feedback - sounds like mucho work and just one more thing that could leak for me - thinking I'll just stay with my air-cooled hoods and perhaps just get a portable A/C for the summer.Thanks decided to try something other then air cooled for a change liking it a lot my self.
Ya 2 1000watts with a 100 gallon rez will be fine with out a chiller. What you could also do to save lots of money. Is buy a radiator from a car make sure its clean. Put 1 or 2 fans blowing on it and make the water run through it before it goes back into the rez. Works wonders and you could pick up a radiator from say a ford truck or something for much cheaper then a water chiller.
And no i wouldent suggest running the same rez your nuts are in it the glass on the lamps still heats up and you would get nasty build up on the glass it self. Also i put pool chlorine as suggested in the rez with the water used for the liquid lumens. To avoid ANY kind of parasite or what not growing in that. I actually stoped using chlorine cuz it started to eat away at the water fittings attached to the relfector it self. Bought Pythoff ( http://www.flairform.com/Products/pythoff.htm ) works just as well and dont have any problems with the fittinfs at all now. Hope all this helps. Happy Growing .
Looking great man; it's funny, whereas it seems like most people get off on looking at "bud porn", I actually enjoy pics of 100% healthy and beautiful looking leaves as much if not more - anyone can grow a bud, but leaves as healthy as yours are a rare breed indeed.sit back and relax this might take a minute.
first some roots;
the tops of those roots;
now the moms;
sour kush
matanuska thunder fuck
pre '98 Bubba kush
kushberry

banana kush
and this;
just thought it was cool. Anyways; if you would like any specific pictures, just let me know.
agreed man, that is some flawless foliageLooking great man; it's funny, whereas it seems like most people get off on looking at "bud porn", I actually enjoy pics of 100% healthy and beautiful looking leaves as much if not more - anyone can grow a bud, but leaves as healthy as yours are a rare breed indeed.
Keep up the great work.
Appreciate that man. Spend countless night with no sleep for months before work because of RIU hehe. Awesome that people on here notice and appreciate other people's devotion to growing this awesome plant. Another reason i think RIU is one of the best marijuana forumes there is by far. Thank you all for the kind word.When do you plan on having the aeroflos and frescas up and running? The pics? I'm impressed with the health of your plants. I have the aeroflo and still haven't dialed in on how not to burn my plants. I will be following you as a fellow guide, thank you for this journal.
Go back to page 2 or 3. Gave a little info how you can use the fresca sol with out a water chiller for pretty cheap. And keeps the temp cooler. Im using a 1/3 HP chiller gave it a test run and water stayed under 70 degrees 4000watts 55gallon rez.Just a quick note. I tried running my fresca with 100 gallon rez and no chiller. the water got up to 100 within a few hours. room still ran nice, but I was concerned that the hot water would burn the pump out. Most submergable pumps caution not to use in liquid over 80 degrees.
Make sure to get a no flow switch as well. Sure helps me sleep at night.
What are you using for co2?
Sweet!I got 2 no flow no go switches hooked up. Running 2000 watts under each individually just in case something happens i still got lights hitting the plants. Happy Growing .
Awesome grow brother glad to see another grow under the fresca sol to get an idea of what i should be expecting.Sweet!
Stop by and check out my liquid garden, only 1k but I'm really starting to get the lamp dailed in. I find myself changing the water temp to balance the ac load depending on the outside air temps. I'm running my water @ 70-75 right now with no ac at all. runs 80-85 in the box.
So what do you use for Co2? Are you liquid there as well?
It also seems like the plants like more cal-mag when they're that close to the lamp and transpiring at that rate.
Looks great, I'm happy to see more people getting into them.
Hey btw which fresca sol no go no flow switch u using ( http://flhydroponics.com/product.sc?productId=268&categoryId=31 )Sweet!
