16 clones 600w HPS in soil

Indoor medical grow in SoCal. 3 Kaia Kush, 3 Banana Kush, 2 Sour Diesel, 1 So-Cal Master Kush, 1 Blackberry Bubba Kush, 4 Headband, 1 Canalope Haze.

So i started this post about a month ago and got a little sidetracked. Now that almost everything has been cut/harvested, and is hanging in the closet, I'm ready to start catching up!
GROW SPACE SPECS...
area is about 40'x45' snug fit for 4 rows of 4 using 9x9 square buckets. To improve access in this space i put 4 shelves under the the 4 rows of buckets so they could be slid out of the area 4 plants at a time. This has allowed easy access for watering and maintenance.
I started with rooting 12 clones in Route707 soil on 12/1/10, and later picked up 4 headband clones(my personal favorite strain) that i put in FoxFarm soil with only about a week of veg before turning to flower with the other 12

Forgot to mention i actually started this grow with a 400w HPS but switched to a SunMaster 600wHPS about 2 weeks into flower. I would have loved to veg these girls a bit longer but I was under a little pressure from my buddy whose comic book closet i borrowed for this grow. the original 12 had about 20 days of veg and the 4 headband only had about a week. I knew I wouldn't be looking at a huge yield but this being my first grow i decided to focus on getting a good result and improve yield on future grows. This keeps my buddy and his comics happy, and gets me a harvest under my belt before i move the equipment to my new space coming soon!! Equipment btw is a Luminaire8 hood with glass plate, NextGen 400w-600w electronic ballast.

Added the grean saucers to catch drainage and put up some mylar even though i already had white walls. The MVTF and the SOur Ds have taken off like they're on a mission. Expected stretch on the sour D but the MVTF is stretching without losing foliage nodes are tight. SoCal Master and the BB Bubba haven't shown much growth but they look healthy. BKs are getting branchy as is the can haze. THe 4 HB'sare showing steady solid growth quickly catching up in size to the other 12 that had a coupe weeks more veg.

switched to the 600w hps after a couple weeks of flowering. Bud sites not beefing up so much so i'm hoping the added wattage will kickstart them.
3 weeks into flower here... I start counting flower days from when i switch to the 12/12 light cycle. I hear some people say they start counting flower days at the first sign of bud sites. Anyone know if there is a standard?

BTW i started using 3 tsps of Tiger Bloom at each feeding after a week of flower. This is the only nutrient i will be using in this grow and i will be flushing around 2 weeks before harvest. This is my first grow and i'm grateful to have learned a lot from the journals here @ rollitup so any questions and comments are more than welcome!

next time around try runnin the light a little closer if you can keep the heat down..closer the light the shorter the internodes=more bud sites in a given space plus more usable light for bud which means denser, fatter buds. hope it helps..lookin forward to the rest of the grow

thanks i could have gotten closer during veg. I had'em closer a couple weeks later. the few plants that were naturally staying short i boosted up on extra buckets so they would be just as close to the taller girls.

Day 40 of flower. This is a shot of the whole space, top cola of the blackberry bubba kush. The 2 individual plants are 2 of the HeadBands that only got to veg for a few days. Ping Pong size buds that look as sick as any i've had. Unfortunately not too many of them due to the short veg period which BTW i chose to get with a 20/4 cycle to try and split the difference in this whole 18, 24 debate.

I've heard some arguments both ways about trimming fan leaves around the time you start flushing. Supposedly the fan leaves put energy into growth in the stalk and not the flowers and we don't need anymore stretch at this time. Also of course the bigger ones shade lower bud sites to an extent etc...it's also said to improve the flushing. so i decided to go for it. Trimmed a lot of fan leaves and i've started flushing with pure water.

OK maybe jumpin the gun a bit but i gotta get things going and most of the trichs are looking cloudy with a bit of amber...soooooo...down come the Cannalope Haze, Banana Kush, and a pretty dissapointing SoCal Master Kush. Not hatin on the master cuz its one of my favs, i just didnt have much luck with this particular plant.
