Figure This Led Haters

High Times did 3 seperate grows using the 90watt UFO against a 400w Mh, a 400w Hps, and a 600w Hps. They said in the first against the 400 Mh, the LED outproduced. In the second vs the 400Hps the LED produced the same only it took a week longer to crop out but had way more resin production. In the third vs the 600Hps, the LED produced a 1/4 less but the quality was the same.

I guess High Times doesnt know what they are talking about either

lmfao... you believe everything you read? high times also sells leds so its not surprising.. dont buy into it, plz show me 1 90 grow that is equal to my 400 watt grow, I dare you! you will NEVER find one.. Its an ad in disguise of an article and some ppl fall for it

aint talking shit. just trying to let people know LED's work. The pics you posted while they look good and I'll give you that it's not too impressive. I mean I'm not in awe or anything. Like I said I been at this for a while, and now that I'm legal I will be taking more pics.

you are clearly talking shit in a passive way.. but fyi i live in a 400 sq ft apartment and am a broke college student and its my first grow in a 10 sq foot closet... so i dont think it was too bad.. especially compare to urs .. which u spent how much on?

Leds generally suck for flowering allso, even the most expensive ones give worse bud then a 400w hps.

I'd say if u wanna save money over a long time u could get a UFO light and two blue/white CFLs for your Veg room, it would make less heat and it wouldnt cost a fortune, a UFO is kind of expensive but its not insane money for someone whos not living on wellfare. For flowering a HPS will be on top until they release the supermegaduper led thats 3x better then the best ones today and rly cheap until then we just have to wait for the plasma "ion cannon" of doom to come out for commercial use that will revolutionize growing as we know it today =)

hmmm.... for that grow? 320.00 I had everything else from previous grows. nuts soil ect. oh plus 16.00 for electric.

Well you should get legal..I get 2000.00 a pound selling to the pharmacy with my outdoor. then you could afford to test new toys.

dude i just grow cause i like it, maybe in the future ill move to cali and do it comercially but for now its in my tiny closet and my hps does me right, believe me when i say, if u had a led with the plants i had, Nirvanas Ice, the light wouldnt pierce through an inch of the canopy, they were 5 feet tall and WAY to big and bushy for even my 400 watt hps with a 90 watt LED those plants would never have the stature that they did..

well i'm growin ghs alaskan ice right now and I feel ya..very sativa dominant. my girls are 4 ft tall and were all topped,and are taking up all of my 4x4 closet. I got 236w LED total on those. but started off with my 2 45's with no trouble...I got the 2 ufo to help with flowering and put the 45's on the sides to light up beneath the canopy

that pic was taken at 6 weeks flower. they flowered for 10. one week longer than my partner who gave me the clones. he grew 16 under 2000w hps we both got the same yeild per plant. He was like you, he was like I dunno man.until he saw my girls. Now he's switching to LED as well. we are both legal growers and have been at it for a while. I cant tell why things work as far as lights. I just know that I like the results. I also know there are only i few LED companies I trust.

If that pic was at 6 weeks, there is no way it packed on enough extra weight to produce 2 ounces. Anyone that actually grows pot knows that. So if you are claiming you pulled 2 zips from that sad little plant, then you sir are a bald faced LIAR.

Show of hands for anyone that believes that this plant at 6 weeks somehow miraculously doubled or more it's weight after the picture was taken to produce 2 ounces??

This is why people get so upset with the LED advocates. They have to use lies and halftruths to convince people to use their hard earned money on these novelty lights.

Don't think I'll ever grow with leds. If led's were all that, then why in the photo I attached below shows 1 led panel in a greenhouse to make it look like it's lighting up over the plants doing it's job growing but when I look closely in the background, all the lights are HID's. Just goes to show that even people who sell them prefer HPS or it may be a photo that a sneaky salesmen of led's brought to a greenhouse & asked them to please put this up in your greenhouse & give it a try & see if you like it all while knowing in the back of his head he is doing this so he can take a photo of it up in a greenhouse turned on so he will have a photo to push his products on the internet. I wouldn't be surprised if that were true & then 1-2 weeks later the owners of the greenhouse gave it back to the salesman & said for our application the led''s don't work & we'll just stick with our HPS lights. The salesman then probably said ok no problem, took the light & left but feels pleased he was able to pull off this scam & think it was well worth his time because he got that photo to push the product on the internet. Look at some of the photos people who advertise led's with. Most of those small house plants under the led's look like they were bought just to be used in photos for consumers to think that led's grow lush plants all on their own. Fuck led's !!
