Equipment Help For UK NOOB?!!!

Hi all, new to this so please people bare with me. Ive searched some of the other thread for help with equipment and although there helpful i need to know more specifically exactly what i need and where i can get it from? From the UK.

I am a complete novice, it will be my first time growing and i want to start small with 4-6 plants. I have watched alot of videos and read a lot of tutorials, but everyone's equipment and set up is different. I want to start growing using hydro-phonics.

I was wondering if the following would be all i need to start growing (from seeds) :

It is a starter kit, and im not exactly sure if thats all i need? Or will i need extra stuff, if so can someone point out what i need and where i can get it from! Because that seems pretty cheap for everything.....

Hey mate. I just checked out the link. Everything you need to start is there in that package. And 4 - 6 plant's will be just fine under the 600w HPS that comes in that kit. What i will stress is that it is VERY important to get hold of some insecticide, because if you get any infestation it will affect your plant's. You can get sticky yellow trap's from B and Q for less than £5. Put these around your grow area, but remember not to put them where they might come in contact with your plant foliage as they will stick to your leaves. Also invest in some ( neem spray ). This you can spray on to your plants and it wont affect them..

Also you might want to get a temp reader. They range in price but you can get a digital 1 again from B and Q for around £8. And try to get 1 that will give a reading of Min/max temps so you can adjust your temp's so you have them dialed correctly. ( temps too high or low will affect growth of your plants ).

Also it is important to correctly PH water. If your using water from a tap then the PH can range from 4 -8. Your going to need it between 5.5 - 6.5 for optimal growth. If your doing this cheaply then go to a pet store and ask for PH up and PH down. You will also need to test your water. Most pet shops will sell a tester kit for very little money and it in the form of a small drop's bottle with instructions. But if money is no problem you can buy all sorts of testers. Just search google of go on ebay.

Pay attention to this. Once you start to grow, your going to see and read thing's on here and other places on how to grow and you can choose to make changes to what your doing. ( i have and i know other's have too. ) But remember to "keep it simple" > Its not hard to grow but it is easy to make mistake's. I have made a few but nothing compared to other grower's who cant be arsed to research.

So when the time come's you will be ready..

Some mistakes that newb grower make. ( Not forgetting im a nuwb myself ). Is over feeding, Not watching temp's, Burning your plants with lights that are too close. Burning your plant's with nutrition lock. Having light's too far away.

The best thing about this site is that when you start a thread you will always get help. And dont be embarrased to ask silly question's. ( remember its your first attempt ).

Hey Danthebull, thanks alot for your help i really apreciate it.

I havent started my grow yet, i have got the funds ready and where to grow it, just was confused on the equipment part. But now thanks to your help, gona pop down to the hydro store this week and grab the starter pack and get whatever addtional stuff i need.

Been looking at whats seeds are easy to grow for a beginner also, not sure what to buy, ak48 seemed like a good choice but i dont know, any advice anyone?!

Apparently the AK48 is a good strain for nuwb grower's. I grew mine from a cloned mother. If you do a little research on some of the seed shop's online you can find out what seed's are good for a new grower. And if your going to grow for yield, smoke or both. Im sure if you look around on search on here you will find the perfect strain for your need's....

And send me a pm when ya get started. So i can follow your grow...

Hey Danthebull i cant seem to send PMs i was trying to send you one before but it kept giving my a error message, do i have to have a certain amount of posts or something first before i can send a PM? I was tryna PM you because your first grow seems damn good you seem to know what your doing!
