Which light cycle is better for vegetation 24/0 or 18/6?

Depends who you ask but imo 24/0 grows quicker so I use. But 18/6 is less light cost

2 weeks of 24/0 to keep them growing rapid and stocky then 2-3 weeks of 18/6 to get some height on them (plants stretch when they get that 6hrs dark reaching/stretching for the light) then a flip to 12/12 when you want. Works really well and i always use this method.

As i said thats just his OPINION and is incorrect as plants grow better getting the right amount of sunlight hours.
How many places in the world that cannabis plants are grown have the sunshine 24/0 ??????????

I'm not trying to argue, just trying to learn, or at least understant this thought. Your plant will stretch anyway when you change the lights to 12/12 so what good does this extra height do for your plants during veg?

I use 24 hours of light as well and if there was a place where a plant could receive 24 hours of sunshine every day, I bet it would grow a lot faster.

If you start your seedlings on 24/0 they will grow more bushy and a lot faster then after 2 weeks i have a plant thats maybe 6-8" tall with loads of compact internodes (bud sites) and when i flip them to 18/6 at 6-8" they start to stretch because the plant are getting time to rest and they stretch looking for that light thats not there. Plants do there stretching when the lights are off so if you run 24/0 they dont get much of a chance to stretch and yes if you start 12/12 on a plant thats 10" tall after vegging expect it to grow 2-3 times that 10" will be 30"+ by harvesting time.

No you are not understanding the basics here.
24/7 would mean 24hrs light on and 7hrs lights off. (not possible when 1 day = 24hrs).
24/0 means 24hrs light on and 0hrs lights off. = 24hrs.
18/6 means 18hrs light on and 6hrs light off. = 24hrs
12/12 means 12hrs on and 12hrs off. =24hrs.
11/13 means 11hrs light on and 11hrs lights off =24hrs.
the light on time always comes before the lights off (i.e 18/6 is 18hrs on and 6hrs off).
So you are saying its 24/7 and that must mean 31hrs in 1 day (24hrs).
Maybe there is 31hrs in your day but i only get 24.
