How do you guys manage to keep your plants alive in 105 degrees weather outdoors? Is there a healty way of growing in the heat?

If the temps outside are that hot where you live then really the only things you can do to get good results would be either grow indoors, or find a strain that is VERY resistant to heat.. 105 is too hot to get really good results out of most strains. Hope that helps

im growing indoors, the temps in my tent get up to 105 degrees. its up in the attic. i was wondering how the outdoor growers manage to keep the plants alive in really hot temps.im trying to make this stealth as possible. i will be growing master kush

Lol just get a fan and an ducting tube and hook it up so it blows out the window or better yet the chimney, That should take care of most of the heat.

^ that would make alot of noise rite? and thats out of my budget rite now. what about a in-line booster fan as intake from outside. would that cool it down to at least the 80's?

Move as much air thru there as you can, preferably from a cool'er area, ie outside,or another room.

If your like me and doing a guerilla grow that you can't really visit all the time, the only thing that keeps them alive in such heat is luck and the durability of the actual marijuana plant itself. I only water once a week at most and its been record heat recently and I just say a little prayer for my ladies.

well, if i was doing guerilla i would pray to the weed gods too. but ive spent at least $120 in this setup.i need to make this work for me.stealth is a major issue

If the temps outside are around 80-100 degrees. how much cooler would that make my tent? it gets really hot here in florida + its really humid. I think the air outside would cool it down a bit, but i dont think that will get my tent down to the low 80's. i was thinking 6" in-line booster fan with ducting from outside to my tent.

Growing outside is alot different than inside as most of you know. Outside plants seem to take the heat alot better as the flow of fresh air is more abundant. As said above a small a/c unit would probably be the best answer because if your above 100 its going to be hard to cool it down 20 degrees especially being in the attic where its hot as hell anyway. It sure couldnt hurt trying to duct fresh outside air into the tent and also ducting the exit air outside. Good Luck

Their going to need more than a prayer! Watering a little bit everyday is your best bet in this heat (100+deg). Enough water to last them a day or 2 but not enough to drown them. Although, not everyone can get out to their spot everyday.

Edit again: Just read your post dizzle, I just repeated what you said. The heat is frying my brain!:blsmoke:

Carry on

watering everyday can get tuff for me being that its up in the attic and im trying to make this stealth. Mayb i can get a gravity water-feed system going on up there? would that help with the water part? What humidity do plants like? will the diy co2 generators and gravity feed be too much?

Above 90 degrees, you need a lot of air movement.

I have two small greenhouses that sometimes reach 130 degrees. The plants love it and grow very rapidly,

BUT

I run a large fan in each greenhouse that exchanges the air about twice a minute.

I'm in much drier conditions than Florida.

You'll need to water frequently and blow a LOT of air.

Honeywell makes some fairly quiet large fans.

If you're trying to hide your grow from other occupants of your house, Good Luck!

well if you can insulate the area you are using then you can rectify the temp inside the room. Like having a cooler in the sun. A insulated grow tent (not a chinese cheap one that gives off death fumes) Then you can can fan your lights and or hook and ac unit and get some control. That is how I would try and control the heat. Plus with that humidity you are going in the right direction for Mold often found in the 7th and 8th week of flowering.
C list might get you a cheap hang on air unit for the tent and most of the tent manufactures that are any good are in FL anyways

hey rasta do u have any attic fans that move ur attic air outside or just vents.....if you can get air from inside ur house to ur tent it should help..my very first grow a few years ago was in my attic.i had built a plywood box up there and the first thing i had to do was insulate the hell out of my box,had 2 intake fans sucking air from the house in the space between two walls so i didn't have to make a visible hole in the celling and that helped alot, if you can duct some air from 1 of ur ac ducts or ac return ducts it would be better but maybe louder,i did 2 intakes so i could move more air with less noise than 1 BIG intake fan and in the summer i had to move one of the intakes to pull from in-between another 2 walls and that also helped alot....and finally i had my 2 exhaust's piped right to my roof vent with a few pc fans blowing the hot air out thru roof vent...and the more air u can move around in ur tent the better...hope this helps...if u have any ?'s just holla on my thread or PM me bro...later:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:
