Ok all you freaks who dis on anyone who uses urine as part of fertilization strategy, I say put up or shut up. If you can't compete then stay in your seat. For your consideration I present to you what can be accomplished using pure organic techniques ( which include peeing on my compost ). Look at the color, size, number of bud sites, lack of insect infestation, you name it and then tell me... No SHOW me that you can do better with your store bought crap. Did I mention that all my ferts are free? Anyways here is my proof.





This monstrous plant still has almost three months to go in the season and has just begun the preflower stretch.



So, if you can't post anything this awesome that you have grown with your toxic soup of mass produced chemicals ( which by the way, you have no idea where those nutrients were derived while I know every single thing that goes into my compost ) than I would say your argument against urine just doesn't hold any water.

You must take into account that your grow is in a prime location, OUTDOORS! Most growers here grow indoors, and those who have outdoor grows have larger plants than yours.

In all fairness, the plants are yours. Piss on them all you want... I still rather not.

Oh I'm sure there are bigger plants outdoors than mine, I have Colorado growing conditions to deal with and I should have mentioned that these are carmelicious plants ( mostly indica strain ) so for a plant that seed bank said would reach maximum growth of 26 inches, I think it is pretty impressive.
I agree that techniques are available out there for anything from outdoor to extreme high tech in door, and that how to grow is up to the individual grower. I have become an extreme proponent for urine fertilization, and the amazing results I have seen in both veggies and MJ. Also, I use my compost teas on indoor plants as well. As long as teas are brewed properly there are no offensive odors and tea just smells like sweet dirt.

So, I will continue to champion this misunderstood font of gold. LOL

I only used Fox Farms Organic Big Bloom and said soil. I yielded 105 lbs off of 65 gurls....What was that about put up or shut up?
The second picture in, is a 16 foot tall Querkle X Vortex. I planted it next to a 20 foot pine tree. I GOT 6lbs 2 oz. off her.
I won a total of 5 awards from last years crop. FYI---HUMAN URINE IS NOT ORGANIC

fdd does not use piss he uses a multipule of things, like horse poo and other stuff.

can u explain exactly WHY it is not organic because you have not and yet you claim it is not organic, if it is truely not theni will stop saying it is. i dont want to argue or nothin but maybe learn somethin new, u seem to know alot and have great plants. and no i dont see them selling bat pee and ect, but fo u really think they can get just the poo from those animals with out bein any of their urine in it. and people who get manures localy and off farms always have piss in it along with other animals.

Well for starters, Unless you consume nothing but organic , everything...that is a good place to start. If you smoke cannabis, cigs, etc...that eliminates the "Organic". I agree that it has nitrogen value, not on the pelixior that cannabis will consume ( actually I am not sure about that, but will found out). Moreso, Human Urine contains a value of "50" Hydrocarbons...Meaning scientist never discovered any. Kinda hard to be "organic" without hydrocarbons...considering that is what it is. I dont "Claim" it is'nt. Science says it is'nt. Science is factual.

If you will, try to think of anything that comes out of the human body as not organic. If anything, its "natural". Granted, human shit ( if composted) would have more microbiological benefit to cannabis cultivation ( anyday) over human urine which has AMMONIA ( A huge no-no for cannabis) Ammonia kills microbiological life in your soil, plus it is INSTANTLY absorbed by terpins...So even though you may not "taste it"...you are smoking it for sure. Also, although ammonia is just one of the reasons ( all that should be needed because you are killing your soil), human urine has so much in it that is just not good for cannabis. Granted, there is something that could be applied as beneficial to cannabis, but the "pros" dont outway the "cons" by a longshot.

Cowshit that is used in cultivation SHOULD be composted for at least 3 years. Most that you get at lowes or wherever has several years of composting. That is to allow for proper decomposition of dangerous material in it that ppl dont want to reach the consumers. Moreso, Ammonia takes time to evaporate. Especially when u mix it in with other composting material, that can alter the time it needs to properly evaporate. Yes, the sellers that sell shit of whatever animal have removed all "piss" from the shit. Its compost over time, for said reasons.

P.S. If you are on any prescribed medication, that can elevate the amount of ammonia in your urine to seriously dangerous levels for cannabis. Also, certian foods do as well. Such as watermelons, kiwi, cantelope...etc...

thank you for the explanation, you seem to be a smart fellow. and i would not use human piss or shit on my plants either unless it was properly composted. theri are many articles about using piss but needing to compost it first to get every thing that is bad out like ammonia. also in my city where i live we have a place called jo-grow. its a place where any one who pays 2 dollors can come unload pretty much any type of tree, brush, bark ect... and then the place takes that material and grinds it all up and composts it for years in huge quantities. and some of the other stuff they add is human waste. the end product comes out very rich and strong with nutrients and other stuff thats good for plants. this stuff is used by thousands of people from my area and around my area, and it works good for pretty much every one with great results. and like isaid it contains human waste, like shit, and piss.

Nice, I am all for using compost. The microbiological material in it is just unbelievable. All those creepy crawling microscopic "things" in compost or soil really help keep your plant alive and thriving. Especially compost microbiologically speaking. Though I have used straight urine diluted with water and seen huge results, most of the urine in my process is applied to my compost pile and the valuable nutrients have been released for better plant absorption. The nitrogen, in particular, available in human urine, is made available to the plants because of the ammonia. Anyone familiar with commercial farming can tell you that ammonium sulfate is an enormously valuable soil catalyst. As I mentioned in a previous post, I have soil that is naturally very alkali, and so I apply elemental sulphur to reduce Ph. With the available sulphur, ammonia from urine becomes ammonium sulphate, which allows plants to more fully process available nitrogen. Sorry folks, but whether it be MJ plants, chiles, tomatoes, etc. ( and I have huge producers in these and other catagories ) I have seen the results of compost teas that are urine enriched and once my ladies are done I will post results for all of you to drool over.

I'd like to point out that though your absolutely right regarding ammonia, human urine does not become ammonia when it has been composted. The proof is that there is no ammonia smell coming from my compost pile. I assume that the abundant proliferation of earthworms under my pile is also a testimony to the health and nutrients of my compost. If you do a search regarding this topic you will find that overwhelmingly the research into human waste fertilization shows positive results, and that this practice is literally as old as agriculture itself ( see Asian use of "night soil" ). Now I'm not suggesting introducing human feces into my compost ( like the Asians do ) , however I have it on good authority that even if I were to go that route the possibility of contamination through waste borne pathogens is almost non-existent as those pathogens just don't stand a chance against the microorganisms present in healthy soil. I have tested my compost ( with one of those test kits you can buy at most nurseries ) and for N-P-K all results were top of the scale. Where as I do enjoy these intelligent debates, I quite frankly have absolutely no trust in corporate America to provide a clean and healthy product. As I said before, I know every single thing down to the last coffee ground that is introduced into my compost, and thereby passed along to my gardens. Further more, I have friends who grow that are not only impressed with growth of my plants, but are simply amazed that I have yet to see any spider mites, aphids, or other harmful beasties. A study in Finland also found this to be a benefit of using urine as fertilizer. I like to compare what I am doing to sex. Yes in gardening and in sex there are technologies existing today that have not always been available, but IMO some things are just better when done with tried and true techniques literally thousands of years old.
