My Girl Hit puberty to quick

Hi all, first time post

Quick story, Im 32 and used to smoke pot for 7 years or so but I have been off it for around 8 years. anyway I've always wanted to grow a fully mature budded plant but have never got as far as the budded stage thanks to my parents finding my plants as a teen and watering them with toilet cleaner, always wondered why they died till mum told me later in my life...

Anyway 11 years has past and Im out to for fill my goal even if I don’t smoke it, to grow a budded plant...

Got some seeds off a mate and 1 shot up, its was looking great till it started to bud so young, its only 1 month old, maybe not so much the time but the size of it, its only 2 inches or so high and budding already (I got my budded plant but too small) will it grow to be a bigger plant?

I’ve got a small CFL (28 watt) on it till Xmas is gone and I can afford a MH light system, then HPS. But will this setup do for now? I had to take it out of the sun as I have friends and family visiting me for Xmas so I have to get it out of eyes sight.

Got some ok fertilizer for it, NPK 25, 4.5,12. It’s a foliage feeder which from what I read Is as close as I could get for the growing stage (15,5,5) then a bloom fertiliser for the bud stage.

Well thanks for listening; any input in to my setup for now would be appreciated.

Thanks to everyone on this site for sharing their knowledge, it’s been great

Happy Xmas

I guess its had irregular lighting from the start, from taking it out of the sun mid day and taking it inside before I go to work and getting nil sun... but now ive got it under a 5000k cfl doing 18/6, its been under the new light now for 24 hours and its picked up so well (looking great)

But does anyone have an idea as to if it will pass this stage and continue on to grow taller?

Got a great smell to but, I still love that smell... i post some new pics in a week or so

i would guess the irregular schdule as well, probobly ended up giving it 12 hours of darkness. another possbility is that it's an autoflowering strain.

Well, it’s been 2 weeks now and she is looking great, im hitting her with 18/6 and I think I got her out of the flower stage, no more hairs growing just really healthy leafing..

I’m watering her every 2 to 3 days with a litre of rain water and a half a tea spoon of fertilizer.

I went all out and purchased another 48w cfl globe (5000k) and placed it on top and used my old cfl light on the side. Do I really need to get a 6400k light? Seems that this light provides the best all round light.

I also got a small fan to keep the air flow going. The Lining is an old cardboard box with aluminium foil around it, makes a bit of a dif. and tonight im gonig to do the yest method, will let you all know how it goes

Oh and just for a laugh my wife didn’t want to waste all that light so she chucked in a few punnets of tomatoes and chives as you can see. We will soon see who has the best green thumb

As you can see from my first pics, she has really changed. two weeks and shes more than grown 10x in size. my bro in law got the two other plants from the same seeds and this one is looks like its on protein/roids.

Hi there Mr Bricks lots of people use side lighting :) Also if you have lined the box with foil it could be bad, the irregular surface of the foil could generate heat spots. People recommend mylar or just like a matt white paint finish, hehe I don't know if you want to paint the inside of a box.

BTW I am a noob so wait for others to help.

All the best

thanks for your help all, I might put the side light back just to give it a go... if I had some spare white paint I would paint it... its a cheap ass job for now, I don’t want to go out and spend so much money just for 1 plant to grow, maybe when I and if this one survive I will spend a bit more on the good stuff.

And im curious as to what mr.x007 was saying and I quote "It may look good but look
again im only seeing 3 sections on the leafs?" is this a bad thing? having only section leaf?

Side lighting promotes bushier plants as the plant grows towards the light keep a light above and side lighting means more nodes and a bushier plant that will yeild more. It wont confuse the plant the plant will just grow to the light

Brick, no hard feelings. All i was trying to say is the plant may look beautiful, but it has not popped out a 5 point leaf yet. I see 3 being the most. Is this a sign of something? Maybe not enough light?

WTF??!!??!? The plant will not get confused. Having light on the side is an excellent thing to do, i do the same thing...and my plant is about 4x the size and about the same age...mind you i have 7 cfl's on 1 plant...but she's loving it. Just remember to always rotate your plant a whole turn everyday...when i am at home i turn her an 1/8th of a turn every 2 hours so that by the end of the day she's gotten light everywhere.

Thanks guys, my light is back on the side :) i was a bit confused but thanks for clearing that up for me...

7 CFL's, dam homegrownboy now you make me want to go out and get some more, are all your lights above? how many on the side?

You had me scared there for a min mrx007, i thought that if your plant is making 3 fingered leafs then there is something wrong with it, like its going male or somethink
