Right, there must be desirable results. I guess I meant to say is, i wonder if i should do it that way. The idea I had was, that pulling warm air across the bulb would not have much cooling affect, but possibly decrease the efficiency of the outtake. And so, it would be more efficient to just mount the filter on the very top of the room and attach it to the out take fan. Although this works for me, i understand the other way might be more useful with higher wattage.....

It took me quite some time to squeeze a 600w hps in my small tent and keep my temps down. I was planning to put the filter outside, after the light and inline fan but it worked out better having it inside. When I move I might switch it outside though, I need the space the filter is taking up inside my tent

I'm hoping you guys can help me out... my inline fan arrived yesterday and I got it connected to my air cooled hood, but realized I totally overlooked something. How do I get the 6" ducting to connect to the outside through the 6" vent hole in the top of my DR80? I have hose clamps but those don't seem like they would do any good for that, and I'm confused as to how the sleeves aren't going to disrupt the airflow (they only look like they would fit inside of the ducting rather than the ducting fit inside it).

Any help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Try a 6 to 5 inch reducer, I found some at Home Depot. They are very useful with tents, don't forget to pick up some 6" hose clamps while you're there. Buy as many as you think you need and add 2, lol, I had to make 2 damn trips

Went and picked one up and it looks like it's gonna work perfect. Thanks! Only problem was when I got home I found out that the one that I bought was actually two and were just really stuck together... looks like I'm going back tomorrow to return the extra one and clear my conscience....

Im looking to get a DR120 with a 600W hps air cooled with a carbon filter but im not too sure what size fans i will need..i will be using this tent for clones and veg for now to start my first cycle but plan to build a separate box to move a mother and clones in so i can flower in the tent..any ideas or suggestions to guide me to my first harvest? also the strain will be blueberry

You should be more than fine with a 6" inline fan rated at more than 430cfm. Are you planning to use soil or hydro?

I'm using Foxfarm Ocean Forest from seed and so far so good. I'm just using the correct ph balanced water with very mild nutes.

Personally I don't think that 4" is gonna be enough... It's not a bad start though. If it's a digital ballast (for that deal probably not) you could probably get away with running it at 400w until you can upgrade to a 6"

yeah ita digi ballast..couldnt beleave my ears for that price. Think im going to get this sunsystem2 400 air cooled from this guy for 80 bucks, and do a grow with that before i upgrade.would be nice to just get it now. but not sure i will be able to keep the tent cool its always 80 in my growroom but i cant vent out the room so a 600 migh be to much right now

I run a 4" inline in my GL60 with close to 250w cfl and the hottest it gets in there with that is 84, I can't picture a 4" being enough for a 6 square foot area, IMHO
