they are pretty much raping at this point. The white berry has around 30 or so budding nodes. 15 on the main cola and 3-5 on each side branch. The white berry is even beginning to becoming frosty on the top leaves. I got some damage from a watering issue, but the plants recovered very quickly and are growing at an alarming rate.

The white berry is also only about 14 inches tall, the chronic is about 1 foot and the white widow is about 8-10 inches.

almost 100 views since my post and no comments? lameee

I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep these plants in check. They are bushing up, and growing vertically pretty quick, so I *might* run into a height issue. Does anyone have any sweet lst recomendations?

well let me starrt off by saying that you are going a great job I just read your thread for the first time and thought i could coment on a few things first, i grew chronic for a while about 8 years ago and they do not like a high ec at all. very light feeders also and i could be a little off but you might want to dial back the ph to maybe 5.8 to 6.1 and try a better hydro nutes like canna or advanced. some thing with a little less nitrogen it would help the leaf burn also maybe some carbo load i know its a little late to recomend this but on your next grow it could help to really beef them up IMO. You might want to also try a two week on one week off meaning that third week w/o nutes to really help flush out the salts or add some sweet leaf to the plain h2o run to give them the carbs they need to keep growing especially after week6. In my experiance it really helps out the taste of the finished product.

thanks for the advice man! This is my first time growing herb with a hydro setup (just basil before this). The chronic is definitly a lighter feeder than my other 2 plants, but I believe *most* of the burn was due to the 4 day period in which I couldnt attend to the plants, and my PH sky rocketed up to 8. I am running a Ph of 5.7 now, and I balance it every other day.

the plants are recently recovering from a watering issue (res got a little toooo empty and they stopped getting watered for 2 days.... oops). I was quite scared that both the Chronic and WW were going to die, but the WB was completely unaffected.

Being in week 3 of flowering now, do you suggest I run nutes for one more week, then H20 for week five, nutes for weeks 6-7, and then flush till finish? I never flushed any of the garden produce I've grown in hydro, so, I am still a bit fuzzy on that.

well IMO and if ur gonna run them for an 8-9(56-63)day flower cycle which is what I'd be est them at then this would be a perfect time to give it a try 1-2-(3)-4-5-(6)-7-8-(9)and on the last 1-2 days I would also try a black out on them to enhance the resin output. THe first time i read about it I thought to my self that it didn't sound right without light the reason 4 photosynthesis, resin, and terpin development but it really helped to give'em a little extra some some. and at the weeks of the flush a little sweat leaf or something with sugars or something like molasses to give to plant a little some thing to help eat but the excess of salts and build ups of nutes should help them from starving. it's worth a try, nothing ventured nothing gained! also since its your first I would also recomend an extensive journal for your futher grows and being able to look back and remember what you found to work /learned, we'll KIT -diesel

Honestly, my next grow I might go back to soil. It makes more sense for the rubbermaid chambers imo, cause you have more vertical space in the container, and you dont have to worry about pulling everyting out to change the res. I've been keeping a fairly extensive paper journal. This is isnt my *first* grow, just my first hydro grow haha.

I've considered running molassas, but... I've headrd bad things about root rot (something I dont want to deal with at all haha). I'm going to stuff at least 100 more watts of light in there tommorrow, hopefully 150-200, so I can start beefing up the lower nugs and take advantage of the LST for real.

The whiteberry is about 1.6-1.7 times more massive than the other 2 (which were damaged by the watering fiasco).

yah I know what u mean i tryed hydro i think more just so I could prove to myself i could and rate it to soil. hydro is pricey and their is alot of different things going on all at once and if u don't get a handle on it fast it can go to shit real fast!! plus soil is more forgiving and it tastes better IMO. plus I'm an organic or die kind of guy and with all that in a res it can spell t-r-o-u-b-l-e !!! hey may be you can help me out now I'm a newbie and that strainger line above my avatar I really hate and I keep seeing people talk about rep could you help me out a little?? no presure, also alway lookin for friends...

Low Stress training, its just bending the plant to keep a low profile, and spread out lower plant canopy for better bud coverage.

Yeah, I believe that may be where the idea was taken from. I did a lot more bending, and I picked up a 50 watt hps for shits and giggles (5 dollars, New, built in ballast) to see how that does. Also stuffed in 4 more 26 watt cfls. Pics to follow later tonight.

some fruiting plants are also nicked or cut slightly which no only helps with the bending, but also produces another branch - dont think it'll work with weed thoug, I wouldnt chance it anyways
lol

yeah, I was just there to buy more cfls, and I saw this little security light marked down to 5 dollars. 50 watts fo 5 dollars is a pretty good deal imo.

EDIT: yeah... I dont think I'd want to risk the cutting thing. Its not really and issue because the bend fairly easily.
