my plant was really healthy, but now the new growth is coming in weird, yellowish green, twisted and small leaves that kinda droop, yet the rest of it still looks ok. about 3 weeks in... growing in rockwool. i'm so confused..

hi. just joined. been growing for nearly a year. been doing whole process with envirolites and soil. first crop was great critical and lemon skunk. amazing only got oz a plant. next crop was super lemon haze. shit. no lemon taste and bud wasn't dense. i have just installed 250w hps cool tube and my room is 600mm by 1200mm 1500mm . i have also just set up two killa watt babies in plant magic soil and nutrient . has any one done a similar set up? what were the buds like? how much yield? i would also like to make some friends on this site.

Yo Bob,
I was just wondering if anyone knew any natural ways to boost the levels of nitrogen in my soil besides using store bought ferts. Let me be clear, im not trying to be cheap. Call me crazy or tell me its gonna make my yield lower but i really wanna try and stay away from chemical ferts and grow naturally. I've read that grass clippings could boost N levels and ive heard of making a banana peel "tea" could boost pottasium levels and so on. Just wondering what you guys thinkk. Any info is appreciated. -Chris
Ummmm, there are a few natural ways to boost the N levels in your soil, have you thought about organic fertilizers?
Well, our urine contains high amounts of Nitrogen, if you can find a way to sterilize and dilute your urine, you may be able to use this as an N boost...Well, I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to "home remedies" but that's all I can think of for Nitrogen, just another pointer, mixing ash in your soil can supply phosphorus! Hope this helps!

It's hard to say w/o pics, but I may need a little more info(nutrients, pH levels, etc.) to help you out...

Has it been this way since it popped or did it become this way in the process? BTW, is it a tripliod(3 leaves on 1 node)?

Haven't done a setup like yours, no experience with that particular strain either...try starting a thread on it, you'll probably get a lot more feedback that way...

I have six 40 watt 48" flourescent 6500K bulbs suspended over the plants about 2" away from the tops, and since the plants are only about 3-4" high, I don't know how I could get any more in there without raising the lights, which would reduce the light per the square of the distance calculation. In other words, if I put in more bulbs, they are going to be pretty far away from the plants and at an acute angle. You don't think that it might be some nutrient that sativas need more than indicas?
thanks again, Bob

Are there any any nutes in the rez? If so, you should flush it immediately...

I don't think they would have any need for nutrients at this stage just yet, the difference is probably because sativas prefer outdoor climates, rather than indoor...you wouldn't happen to have pics would you? It would help a lot more!

I am trying to grow 9 plants in a 4x4 space and I routinely end up losing 2 or 3 because of over crowding. I have decided to prune back the lower fan leaves as well as the larger fan leaves near the top hoping this will lessen stem weight and allow the flowers to stand upright better. Is this prudent?

no, it's a big mistake, either grow less plants, or make your garden bigger

I'm somewhat new to growing and am worried about my autoflower as it begins to flower. I am noticing that the hairs coming from the nodes are all white until the main stalk is reached. All the hairs two nodes below the top are turning brown!!?? I've researched alot and havent been able to come to a solution (that is, if a problem even exists). Please tell me something that will either calm my nerves or fix my problem!! thx

It's totally natural for the hairs to turn brown, nothing to worry about...

hey Bob! It's great what your doing here, really appreciate it. I had a quick question regarding nutes... I see sum nutes for example are .5 - 1.0 - .7 and then some are 20-5-5. Would you have to multiply your dosage when using the low scaled nutes of ".5 - 1.0 - .7" ? That just confused me a little bit and I couldn't find an answer on the forums.
