First Grow. Blue Mystique & Bubblelicious (Auto)

Needed to make a new profile due to some issues with GF.

First grow ever. Decided to start this journal as a tool to help in future grows. I did a lot of research before my grow and decided on a DWC. From what i read, reward > risk. I have a walk-in closet that i would be using for the cultivation of my plants. I decided to purchase a grow tent over building my own grow box. I need something that could be taken down quickly just in case family or landlord end up coming. I got my tent from ebay, $100 dollars shipped.

For my grow, i will be using a 400 W HID light, 4 inch exhaust fan & carbon filter, 18 Gallon tot box, GH MaxiGrow & MaxiBloom (Powder nuts). The seeds that i planted are Blue Mystique & Bubbleliciouse Auto-flowering Plants. Got this seeds from Nirvana seed bank. Awesome service and price. Received my seeds with in 10 days.
I started to germinate 6 seeds on 07/20/10 using the water cup method. I left the seeds soaking for about 18 hours. Most of the seeds sank to the bottom except for two of the Blue Mystique. I decided to transferred all of them into rockwool. Since this is my first grow, I was afraid that i would drown the seeds. I purchased one of those humidifier dooms, and put my seeds under two CFL tubes for 18/6. The Bubbleliciouse were the first one's to sprout. Two of the Blue Mystique sprouted a day later. The last of the Blue Mystique sprouted almost 3 days later. I thought it was a goner.
Its been a week, and my plants are doing great.

The only problem that i have is that i found one of the Blue Mystique slumpt over. I put those twisting things you get from a bread bag to hold it up. I started to use a fan in order to strength the stem. Hopefully it works. I also have heat issues. As you can see in my pic, temp. are high. This temp. only happened a couple times when i closed the closet door. My average temp. is around 84 F. I want to build one of those cool tubes, but new summer session started and need to buy books .
Hopefully everything goes good. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I ran into some problems. Two of my Blue Mystique are not doing to well. Does anyone know what might be wrong with them? I don't know if it matters, but this two plants are the ones that did not sink to the bottom when I germinate them. I will also be making a trip to Venice this upcoming month to get a medical card .

Anyone? The two plants are getting worse and i have no idea what is wrong with them. One of them looks like its dead, but im going to keep it to see what happens. Any suggestions on how to save the second one? They look like they are over watered, but i don't think that is the problem.

I finally have a casualty. One of the Blue Mystique's died today. It just dried up. The other Blue Mystique is still not doing to hot. The stem seems to be turning green, hopefully she makes it. I finally got my pH meter. Its a Milwaukee pH 600. Purchased it on ebay for around 22 bucks. Works great.

UPDATE: Here are my plants after 20 days. They are doing awesome. I planted the last of the blue mystic and bubbleliciouse in another DWC container i made. I received 5 free blue mystic and NYPD from Nirvana, due to a problem with the batch of seeds they had. I also decided to top of my plants and trim the bottom leafs. Hopefully i did not hurt them. Any suggestions are welcomed

The pictures above are before/after i did the topping and pruning. The plants that are wet are the ones that i topped and pruned. The firs row of plants are Bubblelicious and the the other one is Blue Mystic.

Does anybody know when this plants might start to show sex? I read that most autoflowering show their sex 20-25 days after planting. Has anyone grown Nirvans Blue Mystic? I have read that a great majority of BM feminized seeds turn out to be mail. Hopefully that wont be a problem.

Where did you get info on how to build that. It's aeroponics, spray system right?

I'm having some issues with my DWC bubbler. Might try the spray system if I can't get this right.

I did a lot of research before i started growing. Roseman's journal helped me out a lot. Yes, it is an aeroponic system. It was really easy to build it. Just an 18 gallon tot box, some pvc, water/air pump. My pH varies from 5.5 to 6.8. The average temperature in the grow room is 91(85 w/ac).

UPDATE: Plants are doing great. There growing like crazy. I finally added 4 tsp of nuts today for 9 gallons, and 1/4 tsp for 3 gallons for my seedlings.
When are these plants suppose to show there sex? I heard that nirvana is having a lot of there autoflowering seeds be regular fem. seeds. Also having problems with plants, will post pictures later. Here are some pictures. DAY 27

I finally decided to fix my temperature problem. Temperatures were of the roof. At the highest, i saw it at 105 F. I did some research, and came across the thread, https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/121080-diy-cool-tube-how.html. Awesome thread. Very helpful. I order by pyrex bake- a-round from ebay for 20 bucks. I stared my build at 3 and finished at 6. A build that should have taken 1 hour. took me 3 hours. Took a smoke break, and ended up breaking my pyrex bake-a-round. As you can see in the pictures, I just glued the two parts together . Worked out fined. Will post more pictures next week.

My new cool tube keeps my closed tent at around 75 F. Took forever to build, but well worth it.

When exactly can i start using the flowering nuts? I have one confirmed female out of 4 plants. Still waiting for the Bubblelicious to show sex. So much for autoflowering.

Finally hooked up my carbon filter. My grow was causing my house to smell like bud. After 3 hours of it being on, i could not smell any bud in the house. Here are some pics of the set up. Not the best workmanship, but it works.
Also, can any one please tell me if this plants look like females. Sorry about the blurry picture. Have a crappy camera.

So I came back from my parents house to a little surprise. My three Bubblelicious and my one Blue Mystic are female . So far, my first grow is going pretty well. No major issue except for some yellowing of leafs.Will post new pictures tomorrow.

Is your bubblelicious autoflowering? I've read a lot of them from nirvana don't. I'm kinda hoping mine don't, lol.

heyy man. lookin good so far. glad to hear ur plants are turnin out 2 b female... and yeaa i've heard like 50-50 good/bad things about nirvana's autoflowering strains.... =/ i think they just wanted to get in on the new trend of auto-flowering.... and kinda rushed things and the strains arent stable enough... =/

but i will say this.. nirvana's genetics are the best genetics (in my opinion)... i've grown a few White Widow plants from them.. that gave me over 3 ounces DRY from EACH plant.. and am currently growing a super skunk plant that looks like it may give me about 2+ ounces dry wen shes finished. shes at 5 1/2 weeks flowering now. u can click my signature 2 chek out the journal if u want.. but im also growing a Blue Venom and super lemon haze (got them from attitude) and they look like shit compared to the super skunk and the white widows.. i've never had a problem with Nirvana's plants (had 2 issue with seeds not germing.. but they resent me my order doubled.. soo instead of 5 fem WW i got 10)

plannin on gettin sum fem (non auto flowering) bubblicious plants soon.. soo wanted to see how ur auto's turn out. keep up the good work man. so far so good.

This is my first time dealing with Nirvana. So far so good. I emailed them about some problems i had with the Blue Mystic and they ended up sending my 5 new Blue Mystic and 10 NYPD. Really good costumer service. The only bad thing about the strain is how long it takes to flower. Will post pictures later
