We have 2 strains in the High times top 10 strains of the year with Jillybean and Vortex.

OK back to the show.

Jillybean
This strain was created by a female breeder and photographer MzJill

Jillybean (Orange Velvet X Space Queen)

Combining the Tart mango of Space Queen by BGCA with MzJill's Elite clone mother we came up with some of the tastiest weed we currently grow. Phenotypes are mainly 2 a Orange Dominant thick beefy skunk that stays short and has a higher leaf ratio and the Pheno we call Candy Store. Taking on the sweet traits as well as the resin of the best Vic had to offer this special female taste like candy with a hint of tang.

1. Very stable Orange-Mango 50/50 Phenotypes
2. Short and Stocky
3. Very Heavy/ Easy Trim
4. Indoor/ Outdoor
5. Single Topping forms multi heads
6. 8 weeks
7. Sativa/Indica 30/70
8. Unknown Orange Skunk X Romulan X Cindy99BCGA
9. Happy, Mood Enhancing, Humorous, Energetic
10. Taste so much like Dreamcicles you will not believe it!

This strain will most likely be entered into the Cup this year a UK friend of mine Peesh has found a diesel Orange version he says is the best weed hes ever grown and I am hoping I can talk him into entering the cup.

It has an incredible Orange flavor but unlike many Orange crosses this one will kick your ass.:)
Agent Orange
Orange Velvet X Jack the Ripper
Historically Orange strains have lacked potency or did not provide the tangy orange flavor desired. Agent Orange completely destroys its victims with devastating potency and fills the senses with an over load of Orange flavor. Jack the Ripper was used to pollinate MzJill’s amazing tasting Orange Velvet in a Joint Project with Subcool.
Heavy yields and pungent smells make this a favorite of many looking for that sweet flavor of California Orange and Strong THC content.

The results are stellar but in the limited number we ran we got two amazing female plants one Indica dominant and one Sativa dom that is still budding here at 68 days but we harvested the lowers and the taste is amazing almost like a whiskey sour mix.
The Indica version yielded almost 4 ounces of dense yummy Orange smoke with a great uplifting happy buzz and almost NO leaf! It was the fastest plant I have ever trimmed.

From Basshunter

So out of 10 seeds I managed 8 girls. I let 3 flower and have kept 5 for further testing. The 3 I let flower were obviously the weakest looking as the strong one's were kept back. I cut them at day 70 but it could have went a little further.

So there is some variety in the seeds but they all share that similar sour orange smell. A couple of them punch you in the face with it though. Its really intense, the whole house reeks of oranges when I open the jar. You smell like oranges when you are done smoking and anyone withing 20 feet of you will comment, it happened to me at a wedding. You can smell it even if its triple zip locked.

One pheno had smaller rock hard buds with a super intense orange. The other was a little more airy and larger buds with a much more sour smell and taste.

My wife (ocassional smoker) raved about the small rock hard pheno. This was her first TGA testing. She said the high came on upon first exhale, amazed at the taste, after the second toke she said its all in the eye's, after the third toke .... well she didn't say much for 2 hours. Its the strongest weed she's ever tried (until we smoked the other TGA strains). For her it was devastating to the head, little to no body.

For me, very enjoyable smoke. Very pleasant high more than stone, back of the head buzz. One joint ... feeling NO pain or if I do I don't care! About 1-2 hour stone with a seamless transition back to earth.

I just started a vortex griw got the beans from hemp depot, nut they took a month to get.

Over the holidays mail can be exceptionally slow,
Our fastest distributor is by far Cannaseur and while it appears there charge more they include a free pack of our premium seeds so its actually 2 for 1 with them. There shipping is so stealth I have had people toss the pack away and ask me where there beans were.

I have spent lots of time working with Purple and I have written several articles on the subject here is an Excerpt from Skunk from My article.

The Color Purple

Purple Cannabis is all the rage in the Nocal clubs and it is highly sought after by both consumers and producers, lets explore this phenomenon and learn some things about Cannabis and Color. Do we see any great demand for purple today? Not in normal things because they’re readily available but when it comes to Purple Pot it’s another story.
Cannabis floral clusters are basically green, but changes may take place later in the season, which alter the color to include various shades. The intense green of chlorophyll usually hides the color of accessory pigments, Chlorophyll starts to loose it’s vibrant green color late in the season and anthocyanin pigments also contained in the tissues are uncovered and the amazing colors are produced at this time. Purple, resulting from anthocyanin accumulation, is extremely common in Cannabis, this color modification is usually triggered by seasonal change, and also can be influenced indoor by a temperature drop of between 20-30 degrees.
This does not mean, however, that Purple is controlled by environment alone and it can be passed on genetically. For purple color to develop upon maturation, a strain must have the genetically controlled metabolic potential to make anthocyanin pigments and be responsiveness to environmental change such as cold nighttime temps. This means a strain can have the genetic potential to change color but if conditions never exist you may never know it. I have grown Jacks Cleaner for a long time and when I moved west and it found some dramatically cooler temps I got a nice maroon/ purple coloring at maturity

There are other pigments that effect the color of mature cannabis for example Carotenoid is largely responsible for the yellow, orange, red, and brown colors in buds. I find this effect is much easier to accomplish in Organics and soil but in order to really call a strain Purple it needs to have more than colored outer leaves and the inner buds need to actually be Purple.
