mcpurple you said that you dont need a ppm pen then how do you know
how much your plants are eating ( in the bucket )
well i measure with teas spoons, and follow the directions and tweek them as i see fit for the plant. ive never had a prob with over feeding. if you dont go over the amount givin on the nute bottle then u should be fine unless you give a seedling full strength nutes. i just never used a ppm meter along with alot of other soil growers and seem to have no probs. and i dont see not knowing ppm causing root rot either ppm is parts per million in the water.
and i would say half stregnth veg nutes to help the N

what nutes are you using because i've followed the direction on the bottle at half strength two weeks into flowering and had a over nute problem... (the leave curled under and twisted bad) it has a lot to do with the strain some like nutes others dont. but at least if you have a ppm meter you know how much your plants like and dont like for future waterings.

ive never had a prob, i start at 1/4 strength of the recommended does and work my way up each feed and it works fine with out haveing to fork out cash for the meter. im not against the meter or any one using it or anything, but it is easy to give correct amounts with out it

so you start a a quarter and go up? thats a good idea... how much do you bump it up each feeding? and how much do you feed/water? do you feed, water, water? or just feed, water,? or just feed, feed, feed?

yes that is exactly what i do if the plant is bigger buy the time it needs veg nutes then i might start at 1/2 strength. and how i bump them up is buy a 1/4 tsp each feed unless the plant is showing sings of Def. then i give a tad more. it aslo depend on what nutes like some bottles say max feed should be like 3-4 tblsp. the nutes i was using was only 2 at max so going up buy a 1/4 tsp was good for my nutes i was using.
and i used a feed, water, feed, water and so on and so forth for a feeding schedule this way in between feeds it gor fresh water to ensure no build ups and to make sure the plant is using the nutes up from the last feed

Awesome info you have no idea how much that helped me. Thats probably why whenever i nuted it showed signs of over fert and that in turn made me sketchy about feeding them so the they show signs of def. It was all fucked up but now i think thats what im gonna do start off slow the raise it up a lil at at time like you said... sweet + Rep

glad i could be of some help.
the plants are lookin good, i really like how they are all single cola plants. how do you get them like that?
also if you mean the nodes in pic5 well dont worry, its called faox tailing and it is usally genetics getting old or just a sign of it last growth spurt. it could also be caused fom heat like you said. not really to much to worry about though.

right on thanks and the main reason i got one cola was because i think i just go lucky. i got some dutch passion blueberry seeds off a seed bank and that was just how it grew. I did trim a little on the bottom but for the most part thats how it grew. oh and i put them out to flower when they were about 6 to 10 in. tall....but out of the same batch of seed i did get another phenol type and that is the tray on the right. there both supposedly the same seed but they are two completely different plants. crazy

i also noticed that your room seems to be large and you are only using about half of of the room. theri is alot of light being wasted in theri, i think if you had some black and white panda film across like a curtain white side in it would help greatly in increasing yeild and density.
