few scarce monsters that way if u do get naled ur not getting naled for a number of plants and when u plant alot it tends to take up a larger surface area and look more unnateral

i prepare my plots the winter before with the exception of soil, i carry that in about mid march. i do it at night.
my spot is near a small creek that i dammed up. i use empty milk jugs for water containers. and i keep my tools and nutes and stuff in a big black trash bag, and my jugs are spray painted black.

i have 4 plots all spread out over about a half square mile. some plots are better ythan others, the ones that aren't so good i plant lowryder autos, if nothing goes wrong i plant twice a year there. the better spots i plant my good stuff.

always go in a different way, scout the area LONG before growing season so you know where ur spots are so that u don't have to follow a trail to find them everytime.

i buy a big ass roll of fishing line from walmart and wrap it around the surrounding trees several times to keep deer away. i also bring my dog and her scent seems to be keeping the critters away.

i visit twice a week to water and give nutes, if it rains then i don't go.

i plant in the woods, never in a corn field or something like that. if there is a tree blocking the sunlight don't cut it down, chop into it with a hatchett, leave some rock salt on the area you chiopped into then spray pain that area black.


always visit at night or early in the AM.


i have a pair of motocross gloves i use when on site, they would be hard pressed to find a footprint since i don't go if it has rained like i said.

i kind of cheat with the whole stake out thing, my dog can smell/hear a squirrell or anything else do something in the woods 100 yards away so if anyone is lying in wait, she will find them long before i have a chance to walk up on them. and in that case i am just taking my dog for a walk.
which i actually do when its not growing season, she loves it there.

i think thats it.

i can't wait for april to roll around, im trying indoor and it could be going better, could be worse. i feel like its a lot more work since it never rains inside my house and i have to make sure the temps are good and the PH etc etc. im not really enjoying it much.

There is a movement of people randomly putting their extra cuttings/clones/seedlings/whatever out in any open spaces. Not saying I do this. Because that would be illegal. But, I do feel that the more people who do this, the better. I know it's idealistic and somewhat naive, but can you imagine if thousands of plants started showing up all over your city? You go for a walk in the park and inadvertently run into a flowering monster?

So, that's my advice for not getting busted growing outdoors: everybody put plants everywhere and then there's nothing cops can do about it because it just overwhelms them.

Haters gonna hate. So bring it on.

haha i know a guy who planted a clone in a down town planter(still in the contry) it was there untell it was 2.5 feet tall(somone scooped it i thought it woulda gone alot sooner

You can use a form of serpentine layering but not separate the rooted sections and grow much of your plant close to the ground. It is sort of like SCROG but without a net, and using rooted sections of branches to hold down the growth. Plant are shorter and they can be better hidden among and around other plants and blend in better.




Serpentine Layering

Serpentine layering, also known as compound layering is similar to simple layering, except that multiple sections of the stem are buried, resulting in multiple child plants from one stem. With this technique, a long, vine-like stem is ideal. This technique works well with grapes, clematis, and wisteria, among others. Be sure to leave at least one, but preferably more leaf nodes exposed between each buried portion of the stem. Again, as with simple layering, it may help to wound each section of the buried stem to encourage rooting.

It wasn't a link .. it was the picture/image info ... I removed it so no one would think it was a link. If you want to learn more Google serpentine layering but remember that its real purpose is to root sections of plants and then separate to get multiple plants but you don't have to separate them. Each location where a branch/stem us hooked into the ground it will push out roots and the plant will grow along the ground ... mostly. It will still branch up but it would be sort of like SCROG without a screen .. sort of ... but not as even.

For fun I once tried it indoors running from pot to pot to pot etc. and it works. The plants just look funky as hell.

The one time I tried it I made what might be called a low arch out of wire and would tie the flexible stem to it and bring it back down to the ground and then let it grow up enough so there would be enough to stick in a small trench with a hook of some sort (I used some things that looked like little plastic 'U's') and then stuck it into the trench, hooked it in, covered it up and repeated.

I did not do a side by side comparison and it was a strain I had never grown before so I cannot say if the yield was worse, better or the same as it would have been if grown otherwise ... but if stealth is of utmost importance even if it means a little loss of yield it would be worth it.

It is only my assumption but I do not think there was a loss of yield. By creating so many new rooting points your plants have more access to water and nutrients and a good root system is beneficial.
