My friend recently purchased a small honda dirtbike and lost the key, musta been stoned. but i looked all over the internet and i can't find a legit answer, could someone please tell me an easy fix? the boys just tryin to ride his bike

if it has plastics around by the ignition remove them look for a set of wires that come from the ignition and the headlights e.t.c. and just unplug it...on some motorcycles the plug is behind the headlight.....but yea once u unplug it u can kick it over...but u wont have any electrics what so ever..i.e..lights indicators, electirc start etc.

dont really kno y im helpin...get the feelin the bike is stolen

that's what everyone on the internet says, but its not. it was legitly purchased from the first owner, he just lost the key.

so tell him to unplug the wires from the lights and then you can kick start it??
that sounds kinda odd man.

no he said unplug the wires frim the ignition its usually by the headlight lije he said u wont have ny electrics

just take off the ignition on the back there will be a code. write that down go to your local honda dealer and they can cut you a new one.

Put it in neutral, hop on, point yourself down a hill and when you have enough speed put er in gear and let off the clutch...I am not responsible for any head trauma you may suffer as a result of this.

im not sure it has a lever clutch its a small one, and i dont want him to get fucked up

Do you have a paper and receipt for withdraw of money and confirmation of purchase then go to the damn lock master!

That is, if it's not stolen and you still have those two. :blsmoke:

Otherwise, the only way may be removing the wires.

Good luck.

no he purchased it from the person who got it from the dealer, im sure there wont be any problems getting a new key made though, since its not stolen.

u dnt renmove wires u just simply unplug them its def nt a difficult thing to do and it doesnt comprimise the bike at all u just plugf em bac in

if its just an old beater, drill thru the tumblers in the key switch and crank it over with any key u want..or a screwdriver, pocket knife, whatever.

And what makes you think south african taxi's aren't stolen?

What is the VIN/Serial number? My roommate works at a shop and can get replacement keys for cost. All he has to do is run the numbers and the code will come up.

Should be in the instruction manual too

 DONT DO THAT! if you notice when the bike is in gear, and the clutch is out you cant move it, everything is locked up... so if your moving down a hill and STOP THE WHEELS FROM MOVING what do you think will happen? head trauma thats what  !

the left lever should be the clutch, unless its automatic which would be retarded
