i dont untie them cuz it almost defeats the purpose of lsting in the 1st place, i untied 1 time 2-3 weeks into flower and they all bounced up and bunched together so i retied them all. theri is no reason to untie once in place. That is a lovely picture. So question for all your LST growers. When do you untie? Years ago when I learned this (never much practice obviously) I read that you LST during veg and untie it before flower. Now I am reading up on LST in this thread and there are so many pretty posts of some of ya'lls budding plants still in LST.
So when do you decide its time to untie? Does anyone keep them tied up until harvest? I will be moving my partially LST'd plants into flower soon and would love any suggestions! (partially 'cos I LST'd untied, and LST'd again when I felt they were getting too lanky.)
harvest can increase by double or even decrease it all depends on how well the grow is going and every thing else comes into play, but when i switched to lst i saw my yeild doubleHow much more do you feel plants yield using the LST method? (Just a general number). I know all the factors count a lot (lighting, nutes, net), but if those elements were kept the same, how much more using LST? (An ounce? Two?)
Generally speaking, from the looks of it I am going to double if not more my frineds harvest of the same strain. How much more do you feel plants yield using the LST method? (Just a general number). looking good bestbuds, keep up the great work and stick aroundNew to this thread. i had no idea this thread was started...... i had a few pic to load from my current twins (bluecheese from barneys farm fems). i love the lst method since i have a lot of control on to how many colas i would like........................ on this one i lst about three weeks into veg and now im in my 4th wk of flowering.........................
on here i lst them and then took a few pics. oh and btw im using only a 150hps. with my last grow i had LSD and NortherSkunk which both yielded just under the 2oz weight coming from containers not even a gallon big........

Yes, gardeners do this often to grow their plants behind other plants so the general public isn't the wiser to what's in the heart of their gardens.Has anyone tried LST ing outdoors? I'm thinking of putting some clones in once the ground is thawed and then lst them so that I get all the advantages.
I know that this is from an old post but i though i would give a heads up: using the MH light exposes your plant to more UV-B. This activates the plants natural defences and causes it to produce more essential oils. this is very similar to the melatonin reaction in humans that causes our skin to darken in sunny climates. i like to suplement with 10% uv-b reptile bulbs during the last half/third of flowering.... i also heard usin the mh will produce more trichomes if u use it the last 2 weeks of flower, just what ive been herin though u=i have no expeirenc with mh lights
