My First Grow: Lowryder#1

I am trying this post here because the journal on my page is to hard to figure out for me.

Well I have been reading about growing for a while now. My sister had some bag seed that she gave me to try i tryed and tryed and tryed again lol. Well i could not even get them to germ. So I finally asked her how old the where and she said well I've had them for years so i think they where to old. So I finally ordered seeds from attitude and got them in the mail. I am on Aish so budget is a big issue. So I have nothing set up but After looking at these seeds for a week or so I decided i have 10 seeds I'll just try 1 if I kill it I will be sad but it is not the end of the world (maybe) lol. So I found a box and started by using chip bags but read people where using emegancy blankets so I dug mine out of my hiking pack seems I'll never be able to hike again. So I covered the inside of the box with a emegancy blanket I have my laptop cooling fan in the box and leaving the door open a bit so it don't get to hot and I have 1 cfl 6500k I'll be able to get more at the end of the month. Like I said it will probably die but I couldn't wait to try its just 1 seed. I'll put up pictures of the set up with this first post. I do not have a ph tester so I have read tap water has a higher ph and distiled is a lower ph so i mixed half and half and am praying for the best.

Ok I was not going to do a journal because it will probably die but hey why not it could be fun. So I have already started I'll just do a fast catchup seems its not even a week So I put the seed into water on Feb.9th AM let it soak 12 hours planted it in the PM. Feb.11th it came through dirt and today i just built the dirt up around it to stabalize the stem.

Hey man, thanks for looking at my grow.

You should do fine with this one, lowryder is pretty streaight forward with what it wants. As long as you don't overwater, give to muchnutes/to less and keep the right temps u should hAve a plant I'n no time.

I'll keep watching this since Im growing LR1 too

hahaha thats cool man, you had the innitative to go and order some seeds and do it, and i love ghetto set ups, because they do work and its very creative,
i love to stop in on these threads cos i KNOW will get the growing bug for sure and will want to upgrade and improve!, yes budget is a big thing but this my freind is your new hobby and your new found passion will be to nerture and care for this wonderful seedling, growing her into a lovely woman with nice nugg's!!!!!

P.s the more you read on RIU the more you learn, experiment by digging deeper into this site, it will help you learn the the ropes of where to go and how to do things.
check out the fac section up the top near the headings, and check out all the 'sticky threads' especially the '101 already asked questions' they are helpful.

I agree with you. I knew nothing about anythign before i started reading here. I actually read a bunch without making an account, then once i made account i still read and then was able to see pictures haha. Learned mostly what i needed to grow (looks like you have that down pat) and well, once i started a journal i got A TONNNNN of help along the way.
I'll be here to help though bro, so anything just ask!
Day 7 does look like it's grown, your plant will most likely be larger than mine haha.

I was thinking of all the benifites from this wonderful plant. Smoking it helps me with alot of medical issues but I found a new use growing gives you purpose, a reason to get up tomorrow, after my stroke i lost the ability to do alot of the things I loved causing me to spiral into a depretion. Maybe this sounds dumb or is dumb but it is helping me not be so depressed just from growing. ( Maybe I just smoked to much who knows lol )

I just found your thread Terri and I'm glad I got someone on here right behind me. Milly is about to finish lucy and I been watching that everyday now. I'm super excited!!

Yes I have been watching milly all the way that was my final push to order seeds. Its fun growing along with others. I'll put some new pictures up tomorrow.

Also I added 2 more lights so now there is 3X 23Watt 6500k. But I dont know I am having some trouble with heat now too but I just added the 2 new lights 4 hours ago so I'll just keep a close eye on her/him.

Tryed to +rep but i need to spread some will get you again when it lets me. I have been trying to keep it at 80 but its going closer to 85 with the new lights I have the door half open and a better fan going hoping that will fix it.

In the very first post there is a picture of the bag of soil I got not sure what it is really I had 1 cfl 23watt 6500k and added 2 more yesterday i think so now its 3 cfl 23watt 6500k. Its just a getto grow at this point so Im using stuff from the house I have the MG Nutes that I know everyone says is bad but its all I got. 1 of the posts I read said the keep the numbers below 10 and this is 15-30-15 so I fugured to compansate I'll use 1/8 the amount to start instead of the normal 1/4 hoping it will work out.
